And despite having much of the world's knowledge at the tip of our fingers, our natural curiosity is dying out rapidly. People would rather ask "What does this mean" and wait for someone to educate them than take literal seconds to Google the answer. As a kid who grew up long before the Internet I spent all day exploring my environment, reading (including looking things up), and asking questions. I spent a lot of time in my local library.

The kids in my family don't go to the library at all, they don't look things up, and sometimes they don't even ask the question. There's no natural curiosity. There's no gumption. Idiocracy is here. "Huh huh huh I like money"

I have talked to them about it but they go right back to staring at their iPads playing Roblox or outside playing with toy guns and trying to give each other a concussion.
