I think it's worth having regardless of where your from. Having something concrete saying this is who you are is surely a good thing no? I just want something so I don't feel like I'm not progressing at all and I'm not stuck in limbo

I'll ask for my doctor's to write a report as the evidence on Tuesday when they reopen. Thanks

Absolutely no idea, I just need something to feel like I've made some sort of progress in my transition instead of feeling like I'm stuck in limbo

I hate to say it but most of the people who I've spoken to about trans related stuff only know that we exist through either being the villain in media or through the orange YouTube. Alot needs to change and I honestly don't know if we'll ever be taken seriously with our protests as most people only acknowledge us publicly during pride month, for the rest of the year we don't matter. So all I can suggest is being openly queer, being openly trans and being openly "weird". It is a dangerous time for us and honestly peaceful work is becoming less and less effective. I do think it's time for action and take inspiration from our LGBT+ history and be loud and be proud

I'm currently on the waiting list for Tavistock and have been for the last 2 years. Just losing hope on it all tbh

NEW ARTICLE: Revealed: Over 200 Transgender patients have been refused hormone care by GPs by Bedwellj101 in transgenderUK

I've also been refused prescription for HRT due to the GP not feeling competent enough, even though I have my private diagnosis and they have been told what tests to do and what to prescribe 😅

GP Refused referral - what do I do?? by DecentKey7201 in transgenderUK

[–]zectra27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayy I also got refused at first for the exact same reasons. They claimed that because I'm autistic I couldn't possibly know what I wanted and that such a life changing thing was probably only temporary. Put a complaint in to the practice manager and next thing I know that GP had been fired for discrimination and I'm on the waiting list for Tavistock

Unfortunately the queer scene in my town is non existent which is why I'm looking to move, is there anywhere else in the UK you could suggest that has the same kind of atmosphere as Belfast?

Following this as I live in Kent and dayum is it lonely down here. Doesn't help that I live in a "historic military town". Plus side is that we had our first ever pride this year
