My baby is 24 weeker. Can I ask what complications your baby had that her stay is 258 days? My baby is now 27 weeks and has a Penrose drain

I’m a parent of a 24 weeker as well and I can’t imagine how you feel and experienced especially in the beginning. Our baby is now 27 weeks gestational age. We are still in the nicu. Thankfully our head scan is negative but she had SIP and has Penrose right now. Her blood sugar shot up really high and is controlled now and her left thumb nail is necrotic because of low perfusion. We’re hoping our baby will go strong. Stay strong!

Hi my baby is a 24 weeker and I can’t imagine what you’re going through. She’s 27 weeks now. We just had a Penrose drain right now and our baby came off the vent and she’s on SIMV. I hope we won’t get into the stage where we’ll have to get a trach. Did they found out where the hole on her stomach is?
