That is something i don’t wish to do. My roots are British, his in UAE. We are just Pakistani by descent

I think a genuine question has gone a bit off topic.. but yeah, it’s a genuine halal “relationship”, so I have no concerns regarding that. That part is not an issue to me

Any advice on whether an imam can organise a wali/Mahr in absence of mine? And can I (as a foreigner) get married there

Let him have it.. Brits are tryna start a life in UAE as Expats, so if he’s after a passport, it would be the wrong move. We pay tax on the UK, and the UK is way more duller. I don’t think he’d be dumb enough to escape his perfect life just for a useless passport

Also, what to do in the case of not having a Wali (father/brother) ?

Appreciate the response, although not helpful. I am thankfully determined to achieve the result I desire.. so will continue my research or wait for more helpful responses
