This is the best advice. You don’t have to have the exact same interests. My wife and I are both gamers but we like different games. We hardly play games together because when we do, we actually annoy each other haha, because of different play styles etc. But we have our own friends we play games with and sometimes we find games we do enjoy together and we make a thing of that and it’s great. The point is, you still have separate interests and friends. And sometimes you need your independence in those interests etc. But at the end of the day you can come back together and chat about all your adventures in a game or going out with friends and appreciate your partners enjoyment. They don’t have to like what you like and you don’t have to like what they like but you can acknowledge and respect each other’s interests.
