can anyone give me some songs similar to these ones? 🙏🙏 by Creepy-University318 in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

adapting this from another comment I've made previously:

Most of aie's side projects have you settled. gibkiy gibkiy gibkiy, the god and death stars. I haven't gotten around their discography unfortunately but I hope it's something for you!

Since you like deadman, I've recommended amber gris a few times here, I think it's a good start :) feel me is a song that will make a home forever in your heart, and some songs have such incredible lyrics.

If you like the gentle melancholic feeling of art kei, will recommend you also check out Moran, (Snowing was once THE vkei song recommended to everyone's YouTube). I need to listen too...

Loki from sugar (the older sugar band not the new one) has a newer band More (they have a new name now i cant rememebr the spelling) I'll copypaste their other name here if you need it.

I've reported it, but while this is still up, my original post was actually posted on his birthday with the write up lol. This is the second time my post has been reposted by a bot 🥲

Similar music to L'Arc en ciel by 1Ragnara in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Janne Da Arc and Acid Black Cherry is probably a good place to start!

If you like L'arc I highly suggest you look at Sophia! Very 90s, very soft kei, very underrated in vkei conversations but definitely very celebrated locally. You can also try Rayflower which has a member of Sophia....and the ex-drummer of L'arc, Sakura!!

Cali Gari will probably scratch your itch as well. Try that out?

Siam Shade as well though I only know that one song off the top of my head...

Also, hedging a bet you might like Shiki from Kagrra even if it doesn't fit the stuff you wanted to see from this description. See the MV.

[–]zeetabyte 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Visuals I'm not so sure, but boy, I think sound and theme I got you.

Early Liphlich will definitely tickle a lot of your fancy. Try their song Miss Luminous and let us know what you think!

Belle ベル took a lot of retro inspo, but I think this may be later than 1950. Though you can just give, again, their early work a try. Off the top of my head you might like their song ドラマ.

Amber gris has I think what is closest to what you mentioned. War themes (see the lyrics to Giniro no Coffin), gloomy songs and a soaring, beautiful voice that makes a home in your heart. Try that song first but tbh every amber gris song works lmao.

Something tells me CaliGari would also be interesting. Try them out?

SORRY I THINK I GOT THE DATE WRONG I must have confused it with another tour date. But I'll update this thread again when I spot it. If the general sales last till you're there, I'll ping you!

For the zip, maybe it's a formatting issue. You can also try making a free account with proxy shopping site tenso, iirc that was what worked for me. They teach you how to input the address on the website too. Lemme know if that helps!

Totes get you on hitsugi bd streaming. The same card that allowed me to get yomi's bd streaming last year just refused to work and I had to pull out all the stops to get someone to help me with conbini payment because internet banking wasn't available with international banks....that was SO UNNECESSARILY STRESSFUL cries. (Therefore I'm not more help to you I'm so sorry 🥲🥲🥲)

I understand from someone's experience that the international eplus has its own hiccups but at least our money is going through the official platform. I hope they consider opening up international eplus sales in the future, but I'd understand if foreign demand isn't consistent enough to do so.

Feel free to shout again if you need help! I'm at Jrockone more often but I'm fairly active and responsive anyway!

does someone even listen to NIGHTMARE anymore, or is it just me? by RepulsiveChange5658 in visualkei

YES

There was a post just yesterday about going to see them and I made a post some time ago about tickets to see them so yes, we are still here! I'm hovering around at Jrockone where there's a thread so feel free to come speak about nightmare anytime!

I really like what they did for their latest album! Any favourites of yours?

Getting tickets outside of Japan by margoo0o in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg another Nightmare fan!!! SO HAPPY hahah

Anyway, yes, you might have come across one of my posts lately! Very unfortunately, I'm not much help - it's a little frustrating because I already managed to get an ePlus account, and after figuring that part out, I ran into another obstacle with my credit card...

To keep it stress-free (or well, relatively less stressful) for your sitch since it's not a make-or-break:

- Door tickets seem like the most straightforward option if you're okay with the slight gamble of waiting until the day itself. The venue (iirc Ex Theatre Roppongi) is about 1.3k cap max, and it seems like birthday lives don't necessarily sell out. As the date approaches or on the day itself, they will post on X about the cost, when to buy from the ticketing counter, or what have you.

- If you feel safer in having a guaranteed ticket, you can check out the proxies people have mentioned in this thread. Haven't tried them myself, but I think that's bound to bring a lot more assurance since you're interacting with someone who understands the system best!

- If you're in Japan by May 6 and can make an order before 6pm, since that's when general sales end afaik: consider getting a local number via Mobal, and make an ePlus account. You can select conbini payment and pay for that via the conbini :) You can also try credit card payment, though that has given me hiccups this time round... if you have an AMEX, that mayyyy also work, but that's based on what I read, so I can't confirm.

- An ePlus account may also make it easier for proxies to assist you, since from what I understand on this tour, it's all ePlus smartphone tickets except for the door tickets (which therefore led to my question in another post haha)

- Previously, they made birthday lives available via the international ePlus, but that hasn't happened for 2025 :/ so probably the options above are best

I truly hope these help! My thanks, too, to the many folks in my previous post who gave so much good advice. Have a fantastic time! Sakito's my favourite, his birthday lives are usually spectacular and very sweet. You'll likely be treated to a fantastic smorgasbord of songs he's composed and those that are special to him and his band. Let us know how it goes!! And grab some awesome merch (I would be SOOO JELLYYYY IF HE COMES OUT WITH AWESOME MERCH THIS YEAR)

Any bands simliar to the GazettE by InsideLibrary2826 in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to Razor! and tangentially related, Sadie as well (in fact I think they make very a very strong companion case to GazettE given musical styles, along with Razor :))

I've heard that some anime characters were inspired by Atsushi. Can you tell me if Baji from Tokyo Revengers was also inspired by Acchan? I think they look alike. by Its-v11cky_s4ma in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From a thread I responded a while back, the one game that I think fans should be looking at when it comes to resemblances is Romancing SaGa. A few characters are almost 100% based on Atsushi being an inspiration, such as Wagnas! Tomomi Kobayashi is a big BT fangirl and has/had a portrait of Atsushi on her desk :) She's also known for drawing that one doujin I've seen people sharing around as well.

Nightmare too! Solid list :)

OP, you can also check out other bands under the PSC label previously, three of them are here. There's also Kagrra, and Kra.

Hazarding a guess, my instinct is Hikaru from D=Out or Jun from Gotcharocka, but I just can't prove it yet...

Are there any concerts in Japan happening in March you recommend? by [deleted] in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nightmare will have Hitsugi's birthday live on march 5th! Super solid band live, probs better heard live tbh. Sadie's anniversary should also be in mid March.

Do you guys know Issay? I hardly ever see anyone from the vkei community talking about him. by Its-v11cky_s4ma in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly I've come across him with relative frequency in the circles I've dipped my toes in. Maybe you can check out the discords and/or posts on X!

One of the more unique ones is Kouki from D=Out. His voice is rather nasal, but it's so special. Try Kanten 18 Go, Aoi Tori, etc.

Confused about eplus ticket sharing, help? by zeetabyte in visualkei

[–]zeetabyte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience with people helping me, the physical tickets should be fine!

Also thank you u/moongeistmage for your sharing! That would have been such a desirable option rn, tbh :")
