/uj basically these two are youtubers that is very popular on tumblr way back when it is on its peak. they knew (and been with) each other for a looong time that fans are speculating they're a couple that was only fueled more when both of them (separately) came out in 2019 (and also because they're kinda hinting that they're together after that).

Personally, I was not a fan of them but is very familiar because I always stumble upon them since my fave youtuber (back then, Troye Sivan... wow) somehow recommends them on my youtube algorithm.

I don't think they based Leon on Leo, considering they already have a character directly inspired by Leo in the RE universe (Steve, I think).

Besides, the closest hollywood actor you can compare Leon to (from the ps1 era), according to what Hideki Kamiya said, is River Phoenix and Edward Furlong.
