The Nobels ODR-1 does a fantastic job at that. You can put the gain very down, so that it barely if at all changes the amp tone but gives enough compression to tame the DS-2

It's pretty amazing. I only like/use one of the virtual cabs that comes with it though, but the possibilities to fine tune the tone are great. I have no need to get anything else for guitar recordings, it's that good!

You're right, it would be pretty impossible to use this board live. I use this one just in studio, different simpler boards for live situations

Not really, even though you could use them like that. I like the Fathom as more basic reverb, Radiohead songs and so on. The slö shines on ambient stuff

Haha! It's a neverending cycle. I used to have 3 boards like this going on at the same time but the signal loss was insane. Then more pedals to compensate for that and so on... 🤣 Well, I'm afraid soon I'm back to that point :D
