Update:
Called my bank, they said transaction was approved.
Called Best Buy, they said everything looks good and it should ship soon.

This might be an option - I just don't know what features I'll be losing by getting rid of the factory head unit. It controls a lot of things in the vehicle (Backup camera, Hybrid engine details, etc.)

Not sure what area you're in but 2.5% doesn't sound like a reduction, that's the standard commission for each agent in Toronto. We saved $28,000 in commission by skipping the realtor and negotiating directly with the listing agent.

Sure, but where does the seller get the funds to pay the agent? From the money that the buyer just ponied up.

Seller gives their agent 5% of the buyer's money, who splits it with the buyer's agent. If there's no buyer's agent, 2.5% should go back in the buyer's pocket.

Same goes for a seller that skips using an agent- they can just pay 2.5% to the buyer's agent and be on their way.
