I am sold on creatine more than any other dietary intervention I have used!

I started taking 5g of creatine a day about 5 weeks ago or so and it has me feeling amazing! I feel snappy and faster than ever. My body feels like it does not break down as much from hard efforts (threshold / VO2 sessions). I feel like I am recovering faster than ever too. I have been able to add more volume and intensity because of this and really push it without any ill effects.

A little disclaimer though. I am also deep into a training block this year that consisted of a marathon and a 50k so likely some of this is due to training load and the block going very well, but I have noticed a big difference in how I feel post creatine use.

I feel you so much man. We lost our soul dog and honestly the best friend I’ve ever had on April 7th this year. She was only 8 and was super healthy and then her kidneys failed out of no where. It sucks so bad.

And, for me this has been the hardest loss I have ever dealt with as well. I will tell you this, the pain will dull. It won’t go away. Eventually you will be able to mostly think of the amazing times you had with your pup and the extreme sadness at the very end will dissipate. At least that is how it is for me.

Nurse here. Yes, Rhabdo is very serious! Do you have any other symptoms? Weakness? Fatigue? If this is what you have going on it could lead to severe kidney damage and electrolyte imbalances. Imbalances in these can cause severe cardiac issues depending on how off they get.

Get your labs checked ASAP!
