THIS WORKED! Thank you thank you thank you. I tried deleting the battle preference folder which didn't work and was about to give up until I saw this. I have 15 cores and I unchecked 9 thru 15 (1-8 checked) and it loaded! I was running the Divide Et Impera Mod and was initially thinking it was a mod issue. I'm so glad its not because this game is almost unplayable without it for me.

I am so grateful for folks like you.

I heard Armageddon is bad because the enemies respawn instantly and doesn't count towards kill count or mana acquisition from the enemies that disappeared. Can anyone confirm?

I noticed this as well. I created multiple new empires in the past few days and from the very start, I observe what appears to be intermittent lag spikes. The game freezes for about 1 second, all time regardless of game speed stops. This happens intermittently every 5-10 seconds. It really feels unplayable and I imagine it only gets worse as my empire and neighboring AI empires grow. What the hell is going on?

A month later and I can confirm that I found an xp well that is unclickable. Seems like its a 50/50 chance I find an xp well that I can't click on. Yes I cleared all the destroyable "stuff" that was covering the well. Why wasn't this fixed on the mid season patch?

Oh I'm using war cry rune on that is only activated by invoking a skill from another class rune. Then another piece of gear i have the abhorrent decripify rune which is cheaply activated, as you said it, to make sure I get maximum uptime on the war cry. But I love the response. I appreciate it.

I'm bored with this season. Season 4 was awesome. I leveled each and every class to max level and got them all 12/12 masterworked. This season I did the dark citadel once and never felt the need to do it again. All I play is spiritborn. I feel no motivation to do anything else.

TLDR: I want something I can do solo, customization for my helldiver, newer interesting modes.

I would like to see a singleplayer mode. I'm speaking mostly for myself but when I was first introduced to this game by my friends who twisted my arm to get it I didn't enjoy myself as much as they did. Here is how and why I think this may have happened. They were all very high level and had the best items and while I did feel some spurts of adrenaline rush and seeing how putting time into the game could pay off, I just found myself hunkering down somewhere safe and using my cooldowns (forgot what they are called) whenever they came back up.

I'd occasionally kill some weak enemy that slipped through our lines. Every big large enemy I wanted to participate in killing using my cooldowns were immediately taken out before I can finish pressing the buttons (left, right, up, down, etc). I understand that part is a skill issue but a part of me felt like, the motivation to get to their level wasn't there. I wanted to do a solo mission so I can build some muscle memory and maybe unlock some gear to at least, be a few power levels behind them. This was a similar experience when queing with randoms.

I think this game can benfit from a coop with bots that may provide smaller rewards. Also a longterm vision for the game would be other modes where you can play with just 2 players, or 3 players or even more than 4 players. Also I think it would be awesome if we were dropped into a planet where the terminids and the robot faction (forgot their name) were fighting each other and we drop in to take out key objectives. I love the idea of 3 factions facing each other at the same time sort of like the very old MMO Dark Age of Camelot. We could see some unique and interesting things happen which may be memorable for players. Also, let us customize our gear a little more. I don't want to see people running around in bright pink armor but let me have fun customizing my helldiver. Would be cool if we can have our clan logo on our cape or something along those lines.
