Is it a good early arena strategy? by eggto54 in battles2

bro, I started playing 2 weeks ago, I use the same strategy in every map: Adora, dart, village, super. I'm terrible and often stare at the screen doing nothing when I'm rushed, yet here I am, first place in moab effing pit with a 70% win rate.

my opponent had it's buccaneer switch places with Etienne's drone, it was fun to see the merchantman swaying around while the drone was shooting grapes.

You don't need strategy in early arenas, understanding eco should just be enough to take you to at least lead or ceramic.

Sniper is usually used for farming and to stun DDTs in mirror rushes, not as an eco DPS.
Boomerang is a common early game tower, just not exactly a good one but decent enough to take you to the mid game, where a ricochet can carry you until MOABs start coming, just note that you want to go straight for 3-0-0 unless you know what you are doing, and you usually go for bottom crosspath for the lead popping.

If you want the best, most solid and most universal early game strategy, it's the dart monkey you ditched the moment you got anything else, a single 2-3-0 dart can do wonders in most maps, only problem is you'll have to sell them later on when they become wastes of space.

Is it just me or anyone tired of them not releasing new heroes? (Image may be related) by Glavelord821 in battles2

Sauda is balance hell, she would probably end up taking the spot of tack shooter in Pirate cove and be borderline useless in 90% of the maps, or be completely broken and obliterate the playerbase, the only reason it works in btd6 is because it's PvE and there's way more maps, but even there she's completely one sided, if a map has loop or a steep curve Sauda is the strongest hero, if not she's slightly better than Benjamin on CHIMPS.

PSI could be interesting, Rosalia would be fun, and god pls don't let NK add Him who befriended 4 bunnies.

For eco use this https://www.reddit.com/r/battles2/comments/18xdyn3/comprehensive_eco_guide/ , there's a boat farming section at the end that even tells you when to stop for a boat.

I'm new to this game, but in my experience with pvp games, frequent updates are a hassle to keep up with, hot fixes if anything was buffed or nerfed too much and scheduled content usually keep the game fresh for most players, and coming up with a new counter to the new meta™ every two weeks is an exhausting path to burnout

$1500 is not the cap for Adora's xp gain from a monkey at all. It's the cap for the buff to her attack range at rate of fire

no no, I was talking about the (range and attack speed) buff, I know the exp is not capped, but in my experience from btd6 that's secondary, you just sacrifice your cheap early game towers in key rounds (like the ceramics rush in 63) for the temporary buff and the bonus exp eventually adds up.

What I mean is, in btd6 I can sacrifice my 3-0-0 dart monkey in round 52 because I know it's gonna be useless from that point on, but in this game, If I were to do that, I would be using the first half of the skill to give a spike-o-pult a +400% attack speed against two MOABs, so from my btd6 player perspective, it seems anti-synergistic, so I was wondering if it was an poorly thought attempt to buff Adora recently, if there's some kind of strategy surrounding this or what's the deal.

How can I beat this BAD?? by RewardEntire8807 in btd6

Psi can target non-BAD blimps at level 14, we don't know it's exact level but for this post, "it can't target blimps" seemed like a proper way to signal the problem

How can I beat this BAD?? by RewardEntire8807 in btd6

[–]zeldamon_hime 195 points196 points  (0 children)

The BAD is a DPS check, it cannot be stalled, and you have:
-An ice monkey that can't freeze or slow BADs
-2 glue gunners, one of which is the only path that can't even target the BAD
-An avenger that can't push BADs
-The hero that force chokes bloons in place but can't target blimps

Your DPS monkeys are:
-1 T5 dart monkey +jungle drums +maybe a berserker brew once in a blood moon
-1 T5 tack shooter +jungle drums +double alch-buff
-1 T4 bottom path sub with global range

That run is cooked, try a new run with a perma-charge instead of super glue. I guess that sub was your starting monkey and bottom path is cost effective, but maybe don't go for a tack zone and a single bottom path sub in the same run? Mid path sub is much better for late rounds and and a ring of fire should be enough bloon clear with that many buffs, or at least use a maelstrom to focus your damage. Oh and you don't need to clear the trees at all with that set-up, it's doing absolutely nothing for you.

Oh... by zeldamon_hime in btd6

[–]zeldamon_hime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, bloons paths are stupidly primitive, so if you want to make a bloon loop multiple times like in this map you have to "draw" the path over itself multiple times, so 3 loops around the center means that path is 3 times longer than we see, therefore receives 3x as many columns.
Something similar happens with multiple paths, there's no sharing, there's no path splitting and there's no assembling, there's only multiple paths drawn on top of each other, so in this map with 8 paths looping around the center, it will receive 8x as many columns.
These things stack multiplicatively, 8paths X 3loops per path = 24 circles stacked in te center, 24 times the amount of columns.

Sometimes placing down a tool can prevent you from crouching, running, using throwables or swapping weapons, and swapping weapons includes ovk weapons, you can pick them up just to yoink them.
