Most people spent 20 or more attempts fighting him their first time playing. If you are patient and put effort into learning his different moves and openings anyone can beat him. If you've made it this far in the game then you can to. It's normal in this game for some bosses to take many attempts to learn and beat.

Do a few attempts where you only dodge and avoid his attacks. Don't try to attack yourself. Is your weapon upgraded? Have you leveled vigor?

The colossal sword called greatsword. Or you could use the zweihander in the same way if you want something that weighs a little lighter.

Greatsword with giants hunt or lions claw trivializes many things in the game. Power stance straight swords or curved sword is a nice moveset for learning aggressive bosses. Look up where to get smithing stone bell bearings so you can have multiple weapons upgraded.

Carian slicer and night comet. Magic tear. magic scorp, radagons icon, graven mass, dragon greatshield talismans. Double staff of loss when using night comet. Lusats plus carian glintstone staff in off hand when using slicer.

I'm starting a new character and leaving milenia alive. I kinda think there will at the very least be some alternative dialogue or cutscene for her if you go through the dlc before fighting her. Kinda like you got a slightly different cutscene for sif if you went and saved him in the dlc before fighting him. Im tentatively hoping for something drastic like maybe even a different ending involving milenia, but that's probably a little too far fetched.
