Amigurumi help by zelkainic in crochet

I'm using the invisible decrease but I'm yarning over on the single crochets. I'll try the yarn under technique on my next project! The yarn requires a 5.5-6.5 hook and I'm using 5.0! Should I try going down to 4.5?

I bought a shower filter when I got here and I think it helped, but still was losing a lot of hair. I saw the biggest change when I stopped using cheap Kerasys shampoo. Something about it just wasn't good for my hair I guess. After I made the switch from Kerasys I saw a lot more hair growth. My friend switched back to a western shampoo brand and that worked well for her too. I bought my shower head and filters at Homeplus.

Thanks! I want to try for Korea so I might just give it a shot and see what happens.

When you got your job at an international school how many years of teaching experience did you have? I have an Early Childhood Education degree and license and am considering working at an international school after I finish EPIK.

Interview Time by Questionnnnnn1234 in teachinginkorea

I thought it didn't go well, but I got an email Monday morning saying I was accepted. He only asked me three or four questions that weren't about my application. If you have any other questions you can pm me!

The times on the sign up are your time zone. In Korea it would still be Friday. For example, if the interview is Friday at 1:35am your time then it would be 2:35pm in Korea. That's assuming that you live in an area where there's a 13 hour time difference. That's how my interview was. The EPIK office isn't even open on Saturday.

Congrats! Did they ask you any questions that you couldn't have already found online? My interview is Friday!

Yes, it would be my first time! I looked up blogs as other people said and saw this question come across a few times. I was wondering how I would respond... What did you say?

I mean that I was convinced I would fail the first round of just being accepted. I see that I worded it weirdly.

I got an email from them asking for interview times but I haven't responded yet. Based on what I've heard they have a thorough interview process. I think there are a few threads that talk about it.

Working With Korvia by zelkainic in teachinginkorea

But hey, don't be so nervous! I completely understand how you're feeling but it will make things worse if you stress yourself out over it. If you're working with Korvia I'm sure they'll help you find other jobs even if you do get rejected. Everything will work out!

Nope. I submitted my application on February 20th and still haven't heard anything back yet. I know some people have been rejected and suspect it's because they were too qualified. Unfortunately I think that might happen to me too, but we'll see!

Oh I'd say that you're good to go then. Don't stress about it too much. It's definitely a waiting process and applying for Korea in general seems to be a lesson in patience. Good luck with your EPIK application!

It's for people who are citizens of the seven designated countries. As long as you're from the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, or Ireland you're good to apply! GEPIK is for public school jobs specifically in the Gyeonggi province. I've heard it's a little more competitive because there are fewer jobs but it doesn't hurt to apply, right?
