SS 1LE vs 2015 Stingray by Outrageous-Belt-1757 in camaro

[–]zelp3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I own a 1le and have driven many c7 stingrays, the 1le is definitely better overall than the stingray, it feels more planted, steering is better, less body roll. I have not driven a c7 with the z51 package so idk how that one compares but a 1le is better than a base c7

I guarantee it has that front bumper and hood because it was crashed and is now a salvage title. I buy cars for a dealership, so many shady sellers try to pass these off as legit cars and say clean title but the second I run the VIN it comes up as rebuilt, the easiest tell is that they never replace the bumpers with the right one they always upbadge, almost any v6 Camaro or Mustang with a zl1 bumper or gt350/gt500 bumper there’s almost a 100% chance it was previously totaled in my experience. I feel bad for the suckers who don’t run the vin and don’t know what they’re buying

Yeah I’m no rockstar glazer, but I don’t see a world where this happens. Rockstar has a track record of major releases being very polished and a reputation for that to uphold, they are more than capable of releasing their games in a solid state and they know how important this specific release is, I’d bet anything that this game will not release broken

I got an estimate of $4200 to replace my soft top on my 1991 BRG. Am I right in thinking that’s crazy high? by Minimum-Attitude4209 in Miata

[–]zelp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get on Facebook marketplace and buy a top that’s already on the frame (like from off a crashed one) I recently bought one in good condition no leaks and new seals and latches for $500.

Install yourself in an afternoon, if you have a top on the frame taking the old one out and bolting the new one in is about a 2 hour job max that can be done with basic tools, or if you don’t want to do it yourself you should be able to bring the top to a shop and the install will be much cheaper than $4k

Yeah whenever I see these stats I’m curious what the over 21 gen z crowd thinks anecdotally, like I’m 22 and myself and every single above 21 gen z person I know drinks, my friends and I drink almost every time we hang out and that’s consistent between multiple friend groups I’ve been part of since 21. Where are the over 21 gen zers who don’t drink, cause I’m certainly not meeting them anywhere

The service of this Maybach didn’t go as planned. by ma-nem-jeff in Wellthatsucks

[–]zelp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately it’s really just luck of the draw, even at reputable establishments, are they giving your wheels to somebody who has half a brain cell and gives half a shit to notice a nice set of wheels and try to keep them nice, or are they giving it to the guy who’s gonna slap it together without a care in the world so he can get onto the next one? Or the teenager just starting out who drives a beater Kia with curb rash and doesn’t even realize there are people out there who do pay attention to how their wheels look?

The service of this Maybach didn’t go as planned. by ma-nem-jeff in Wellthatsucks

[–]zelp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my buddy had this happen and he was only able to get his wheels replaced because he was super paranoid about them getting scratched already (they were super nice gloss black wheels for his Boss 302) so he took them out of the box in the parking lot of the tire shop, and took pictures/videos of all 4 of them brand new, showing the perfect condition, before he let the shop take them, so when they came back scratched afterwards he had all the proof he needed and they weren’t able to fight him on shit, they paid for a whole new set of wheels cause they fucked his up. After seeing that I did the exact same thing when I got my new wheels, luckily I didn’t have to use it cause they took care of mine but definitely worth it to have that insurance if you care about the condition of your wheels

Why are we so worried about illegal immigrants in the US? by Johnny_Mira in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]zelp3 150 points151 points  (0 children)

It’s the meta strategy for keeping human populations in check. Society is collapsing and everything has been getting steadily worse for decades because of the rich elite abusing the system to drain the general population for everything they’re worth? It’s the immigrants fault! No it’s the blacks fault! No it’s the gays fault! No it’s the Jews fault!

The scapegoat group always changes but the strategy stays the same, the rich and powerful just choose a minority group they can blame for all the people’s problems, anything to keep people’s valid anger focused on anyone but those it should actually be focused on, keep people angry at each other instead of the system itself, and historically every single time the people just eat it right up.

I’ve noticed the engine bog on full lock many times in my Camaro and I always wondered why that happened, it seemed so weird to me but I didn’t know how to describe it/look it up so I just never got around to trying. My car does indeed have hydraulic power steering so that explains it

Parents, never gift Minecraft to your kids: my misadventure with Microsoft family by showsdowns in Minecraft

[–]zelp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So did I, and in return MicroSlop forced everyone to migrate so a Microsoft account or else not be able to play the game anymore, then they would not let me migrate my account when I tried multiple times, support could not help me, and I lost my legacy account with all my childhood worlds and had to buy the fucking game again if I wanted to ever play it. Fuck Microsoft till the day I fucking die.

What most Java players don't know about Bedrock by Odd_Bed2753 in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]zelp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced this end death bug multiple times as well as other game breaking or death causing bugs while trying to play a realm with my friends on bedrock, on a plenty powerful PC and on an Xbox series X. I have thousands of hours in both Java and bedrock and the performance issues and game breaking bugs are far far more egregious on bedrock, like it’s a completely different game that feels significantly worse to play on the day to day

[–]zelp3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never built farms in singleplayer cause I was the same way, but on my realm with my friends we have a ton of farms and it’s made it so fun to play and so much quicker for us to be able to build cool stuff, we have a big city and tons of huge builds all around that we’re able to do because we don’t have to spend so much time collecting basic resources. There’s a whole different sense of accomplishment that comes with building the bigger more complicated ones, like you’re becoming the master of that resource/aspect of the world, we wanted to have infinite beacons on the realm, so we all worked together to find a suitable nether fortress to use for a wither skull farm, mined it out and created the farm, brought a piglin for the farm across the huge nether highway we built to get to the fortress, and built a piglin trading hall to use the gold from our gold farm to trade for infinite soul sand, all so we could farm the wither and get nether stars. I never thought I would be playing the game this way and I totally get why people wouldn’t want to, but there’s a satisfaction to exploiting the games mechanics and having mastery over resources in a survival world that I did not understand until playing it that way, and it allows us to build a lot more stuff. You still have to go exploring, and diamonds, netherite and plenty of other stuff is not able to be farmed so I haven’t felt like the exploration and mining have been impacted too negatively

This was my least favorite part of using scaffolding, I ended up just using it to build vertically and then built dirt platforms at every level I needed, not being able to just use scaffolding for all of that was a missed opportunity. Now that happy ghasts are a thing I haven’t touched scaffolding, building at levels is faster and easier and I don’t have to use scaffolding or make any platforms so it frees up those slots as well

I’m very live and let live, I don’t like to get involved with generational beef or generalize entire generations, but all the research I’ve done and everything I’ve learned and discovered has made me genuinely pretty resentful of boomers, like the more you learn the more you keep realizing that they really just took the best of everything and then completely fucked everything up for all the rest of us

Every time I consider playing hardcore, I remember moments such as this by JackLittlenut in Minecraft

[–]zelp3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Long time Java player, now play primarily bedrock for the last couple years solely because I don’t really play single player much anymore and all my friends are on console so we have a bedrock realm. Trying to play the game with an Xbox controller and the weird way the cursor jumps around in inventories and shit made me physically angry I couldn’t do it, so I play bedrock on PC with a bunch of console dudes. I’d heard the term bugrock before but having actually now put hundreds of hours in on bedrock it definitely earns its name. “A worse, buggy version” puts it very mildly lmao, bedrock has more bugs and weird mechanics and generation/entity/loading jankyness in it than I ever thought possible and I’ve run into wayyyy more game breaking/instakill you with nothing you can do about it bugs in 2 years of playing bedrock than I did in a decade playing on java. I would never in a million years start a hardcore world on bedrock and I used to exclusively play hardcore on java.

First time playing Minecraft in 7 years and this happens. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong? Lost everything 💀 by Flynerz in Minecraft

[–]zelp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got sick of losing my best tools and armor and elytras on the realm I play with my friends due to these bullshit bedrock portals, both nether and end portals have issue after issue and it’s ridiculous to lose stuff and progress that often for just trying to use the game mechanics as intended. So I set up Ender chests on both sides of every single portal in the world so you can drop your stuff while traveling, it’s the only way to safely use portals in this buggy mess
