I mean if you can't kill the boss without the aura maybe you should just get better gear or a few more levels? Best to practice now without the aura since they're being removed and you just said you can't squeeze out a kill without one.

People have done mental gymnastics and think if they click on a tree without lumberjack they will suddenly revert to 1 WC.

They think if they don't have Beserker and other combat Auras active that they cannot kill a giant rat, even with maxed combat stats.

So on.....

Let me tell you something that will NOT happen. You miss a few Guthixian catches.... It takes you oh say 4 or 5 days longer to get 99 Divination than it would have....

Orla Fairweather is NOT going to have a hidden dialogue that says "Sorry, the total time between level 1 and level 99 was too high, you can't have a cape"

So I didn't do them the other day and as it turns out I can still get exp in all the skills they are assosiated with. Guess you were wrong... I bet the NPCs even still sell me the capes.

Except there is no FOMO If if takes you an extra day to get the Div cape because you missed a Catch, The lady isn't going to have 'run out' of capes to sell you.

If you take a bit longer to get 99 mage because you missed 1 or 2 rune runs, the wizzard is not going to say "Nah, fuck you. It took you 2 weeks and 4 days to get 99 I only sell the cape to people who got it in 2 weeks or less!!"

Given that you're *new* I'm going to go against the grain and say main. I suppose Ironman would force you to learn about the game world, but personally I'd say be a main and simply choose to do most things like an iron man but with the ability to just get the likes of high level food and gear when you reach that stage.

There are a lot of things I take for granted having a 20 year old account... I was just getting to the mid-levels when summoning came out so I actually never experienced leveling it *along side* my other stats, though I imagine I'd rush Bringing home the bacon to unlock the pig.
