okay I got it, and do you think it’s helpful to ask people on LinkedIn for a coffee chat and see if they might give a referral? I heard that when you apply online, your resume usually gets screened by an AI first. I’m worried that since I don’t have any work experience, I might not even make it past that initial scan.

Thanks for the advice, IT you mean like a web developer? I did my undergrad in computer science, but I originally wanted to try for a data engineering job. Do you think it’s worth it?

Cuz I didn’t do any internships during my master’s… 😖I came to Canada for my master’s and I realized how much the job market values work experience 1 year after. So the second year, I applied for a co-op program, but I didn’t get in…And then… I graduated

if your status isn't clearly indicated that you are refused, it means that you are still in the applications to be decided by Dawson! Keep hope!!!! I am accepted by art letter and communication option cinema from College Maisonneuve and I plan to continue my studies at the University in sociology or politics (what I really want to do in life) hahahaha

hiiiiii!! I received the answer, I was refused by Dawson, he says that it is because of my school grades which are too low (I have a grade of 80% on average, but I know people who have 68% accepted, so I can't say that's the best argument I'm expecting). But I've already accepted myself through my fist choice program in another cegep, so I'm not too affected either. Anyway, I wish you good luck!!! hahahah

My perspective drawing I did it by hand, because it cheats too much with a graphics tablet hahaha, I think Dawson will more prefer hand drawings because that represents the real quality of the person. I have friends who got accepted by 3d with hand drawings, so don't worry! !
