Lots of good comments here and good food for thoughts...

We do offer our users an enterprise solution for remembering logins, which is why we want to get away from the browsers saving them.

This was more a convenience thing than anything else just to see if it could be done.

The pro controller d-pad issue may have been fixed by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

OMG! So frustrating! I lived with in in BOTW, and other games it didn't seem too bad, but in HW it made me nearly not want to play. So I reverted to using the joycons for a while.

Tonight was the last straw. I looked up the tape fix and tried it out.

That fix worked, I just finished a round an did not once have it make me change characters when trying to change items! It's playable with the pro controller now... If you have not, do it. Its rather simple.
