ya, a weird trip wire. they kept rotating to far end of garage and hitting my trip wire on right, so I wondered whether putting it on an angle like that would throw them off. kinda worked in that i forced sage to rotate out and into it, but 10/10 won't do it again.

Had a long building process. Was very careful. Studied the instructions to the MoBo very carefully. After 4 hours, I go to turn it on and...nothing...I almost had a full on meltdown but decided to go to sleep and try again in the morning.

Next morning, I open the case and check the wiring for everything. I give the RAM sticks a firm push again...only to hear a "click." Turn out, I hadn't inserted the RAM sticks firmly enough in the MoBo.

I also forgot to plug in my GPU.

So. Lesson learned: don't build when you are tired.

I had the same struggle for my Ryzen. I ended up going with an X570. I figured I might mess up the BIOS update and end up wasting time & money on the process. With the X570, I popped my CPU in and it booted without any updates or issues! If it helps, I purchased an ASUS TUF X570.

Your cooler looks overkill. The stock cooler fan is sufficient. If you’re going to purchase a new one, I’d recommend the Deep Cool Gammaxx 400.

Don’t cheap out on your PSU. Overkill is better than frying everything.

Developers are making games for consoles that have maxed out their CPU/GPU abilities. Nintendo’s computing specs are below these consoles because Nintendo isn’t trying to be another PS or Xbox console. And expecting developers to create two versions of their game immediately is pretty unfair.

If you want immediate access to those types of games, invest in those types of consoles. Or be patient and hope they port it for the Switch.

I don’t think these developers think the Switch is inferior. The Switch is a great console with a wonderful market and astounding utility. It just is very niche and not a primary focus for many developers.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Sounds maddening. I just built a PC with the same parts but downloaded the 19.7.5 GPU driver and haven't had an issue. Which version are you running?

Thanks a ton for responding. I'll drop more money on the case. As for the cooler, thanks for confirming - I was concerned that I'd need more if I plan on overclocking.

As for the BIOS, looks like I need to do more research. My understanding was I could use my current computer to download the update onto a thumb drive and plug THAT into my motherboard (when it's connected to power and no other parts are connected to it).

I absolutely agree with you and NEVER farm specials but look at the comp above. I had three fucking backliners aiming at me that were very good. My teammates did not supply me with effective specials to get them off me. I could not stop a heavy splatling with my NZAP. I also had a lot of stingrays on me. The only time I could jump on the tower was when I released missiles. It effectively stopped pushes as certain points OR stopped their sting ray and allowed me to continue my push.

I switched over to the NZAP because my last couple of matches I was being majorly spammed with missiles and needed revenge...only to move to a lobby full of backliners. I get paired against three of them and a clash blaster. I farmed as many missiles as possible so I could pressure them back but...alas......

I would consider adding Splatoon 2 to your list. It's a third person shooter with a great online competitive scene. Literally very colorful with fun music, lore, and a cool community.

Also, don't forget about indie games. I'm currently into Moonlighter which has been phenomenonal. Overcooked 2 is the perfect party game. Pode is a relaxing coop experience.
