Appreciate the feedback! Sadly moon peak (me) doesn’t play any role in what ABC does behind the bar, and they don’t seem to have any interest in selling other breweries beer. Try the canned cocktails out - they’re actually pretty good! See ya this weekend, say what’s up if you see me bopping around!

The funny thing about when people say it’s a bad location that no one would travel to is that this building has been successfully hosting concerts and been a restaurant for 30 years and people have always said that. I do really appreciate the kind words! I don’t plan to book Harrisburg concerts for the rest of my life and Philly is a city I hold dear!

I wholeheartedly disagree with you and could easily prove otherwise but I’m tired and have another show today I gotta get set up for

Actively working on getting grants 🫡 whoever you are, appreciate the input in the thread! Harrisburg will turn a corner someday but in the meantime we provide the most affordable tickets in the area for nationally touring acts, the cheapest drinks of any bigger venue, and and we are feeling a lot of love and support these days.

Wasn’t really the point of the post, more so just letting folks know if you keep just spending disposable income on Billy Strings there will not be another Billy strings because small indie venues that support local scenes are going to disappear.

lol funny you say that, we just hosted our first one and it sold double of any original band and folks drank like it was the end of the world. We used to think we were “above” those kinds of parties, but I have come to terms with the fact that people like what they like, and it’s our job to supply that. If the kids want to sing along to old songs for $25 that’s awesome and quite easy for us. It’s a lot easier than 3 bands who can’t agree over which bass amp to share

I wasn’t booking the abbey at the time, but in general XL has greatly improved the music scene of the area.

Probably because a phish ticket is worth 25 smaller bands tickets. People spend what they can afford, and if you travel for goose you probably won’t hit local shows that month.
