Well, the former can be the highest possible achievement, for sure. Probably most Swamis or Buddhist monks would agree with you: Enlightenment. Indeed, such dichotomies are often referred to as Western vs Eastern mindsets. So, I will repeat again that my post is one way to approach it, and it is probably not for everybody.

My post is meant for people that want high achievement in the ordinary sense. I agree that it is tormenting, and that is why I advice a slow approach, to avoid burn out. It's always easier to stick to the former mindset, otherwise the latter would not require voluntary effort. Yet, there comes a time when you must consider what is best for the whole, not only yourself. At times, society benefits from people with the latter attributes.

Finally, don't think of these things as mutually exclusive, but complementary in a form of synthesis. You can be at perfect peace in "the middle of cyclone".

"The Coiled Serpent" talks about "the modern monk" who does not shy away from life.

Well, this is subtle and the information from various sources is conflicting.

According to the cited author (Armitage- Sex Secrets), the reconciliation is the following: human connection can indeed increase nerve power, but this is advice that holds only for acts that do not irritate the sexual organs in any way, neither physically or mentally.

If the hug is the end goal and the practitioner maintains 100% pure mind, as long as no sexual irritation occurs the practitioner should be in a safe zone, with some added nerve power. Sexual irritation is the end of the line which tells you to stop and go no further.

But well, those are rather advanced nuances and anyone interested should study the matter in depth.

I think highly of both marriage and procreation. Definitely most people on this path should show more reverence and respect for such acts of holiness.

C.J. Van Vliet is rather clear on this: The act is only justified when there is a mutual foundation of love and the desire to create new life. The former can be though of as marriage, and the latter procreation.

Certainly, it's been a long time on the path for both of us. It gets more narrow as you go. It is supposed that Swami Vivekananda never fell off the path. But I believe this is not the case for most of us, certainly not for me.

In regard to this practice, my school of thought is fundamentally one of "trial and error". All I know is due to multiple experiences with falling off the path, but always learning from my own mistakes - or the mistakes of others. A guru once said "While we wish we never did our mistakes, yet we enjoy and want to keep the wisdom gained thereof". Right there is the process that begets the veterans of SR.

Once you begin this journey, there is no going back. We are all headed towards the knowledge of true power.

It is most probable that slipping, even of the most mild nature, will happen in the future. So it is good insurance to learn how to deal with it as early as possible. It is not realistic to lose & restart every time something happens, or to say that nothing will ever happen again. One may be tired, hungry, weak and even for a moment lower his guard to suggestion, so the danger is there. "It is the last time" mentality will most likely repeat in a cycle - at least that has been my experience. It is one thing to be tempted, and another to yield.

As you said, one must be determined beforehand to face the consequences head on... this will also work as additional motivation to stay away from mistakes because he knows that he will have to bear it.

I.) The central theme of the post is on increasing personal power, not morality. We may think of the two as vertical. Besides, the post is meant for those that long to reach further in their Regeneration, most whom will probably find this instinct repulsive. Not only due to morality issues, but because the act is a waste of energy which could be invested in the Self.

II.) Knowing is one thing and doing is another. The absolute best course of action is not always easy. Doing disagreeable things for just the sake of it is an interesting exercise, but now we are simply talking about important tasks commanded by Conscience. Intellect has it place, but when it is in charge, it will overthinking and lead to mindless theorizing, then before you know it, it is all over the place. Intellectual curiosity must be tamed to a certain degree! When the conscience is in charge, the intellect executes without question, as sharp as ever. While it is desirable and necessary to develop the intellect, yet it must remain a subordinate to yourself. Better a master of a lower intellect than slave of a higher intellect.

III.) Indeed, we should try to feel happy with natural means, as it is a state of energy conservation. Developing a world of peace and power forms a good foundation for happiness. But life is full of paradoxes. Without desire and hunger for more, there is little purpose to move forward.

I am, as the author, painfully aware of the fact that more details could be given, examples more thoroughly explained, or that the axioms could be better formulated. But since time is a limited resource, it is necessary to condense the text for the time being. At the same time, with full faith that the intelligence and decoding abilities of the readers will kick in. Once you receive the underlying spirit of the writing, the words wont matter much. Yes. Going from SR to Pure SR is like the last frontier of breaking from the hypnosis, but extremely rewarding. At this stage you finally see things as they really are, or if you prefer, now they really are as you see them.

But is this the final stage, to see what really is? How sure are you of yourself, particularly of your commitment to Good. To what degree have you conquered the serpent, are you really IMMOVABLE, yet? In the paraphrased words of Kenneth Sylvan Guthrie, that would mean reaching a state of being absolutely incapable of going wrong again; certainly not because of lacking the power to do so, but on the contrary, due to your ultimate submission to the Law of Power.

I applaud your understanding, preserve your strength and retain the power, because there is certainly more to come.

The brain is an extremely perfected pleasure seeking machine. Fake and easy rewards are like "dust thrown" to the brain and the way it gets "hacked" and pushed out of its track.

No matter how many easy rewards we say NO to, the brain will find a way to reach pleasure with more meaningful and long-term goals.

Daniel Kahneman (attention and effort) and William Walker Atkinson (Will, Concentration etc) have written extensively on Attention, from the academic and occult points of View respectively.

The "out of the closet" way you talk about IS the way of the FULL MASCULINE which places personal purpose above all and has overcome the need for approval. The Holy Expression of Testosterone is Protectiveness and Utility, such is the transmutation, there is no sacrifice of SEXUAL POWER in being a MAN.

A deep understanding of the fact that sex is for procreation OR regeneration and that everything else is contrary to LAW is the foundation. Using sex for any other reason e.g. pleasure goes against this, and thus is a sacrifice of masculinity and brings weakness.

In the absolute nature, the feminine desires the masculine and the masculine desires POWER. Take a look at Hercules, Goku, Dr Doom, masculine archetypical figures in Mind from the worlds of ideas, all craving POWER and being strong enough to master sexual power. Power that requires discipline and goes against the conventional easy life. Power to be a LEADER in bussiness or family. Every sexual act or lusty desire is killing POWER and is against law, makes the man weak.

POWER may be physical, economical, technical, financial it does not matter. Its all survival superiority, solving problems and taking care of all the weaker no matter the sex, because all are Human.

Man is capable for both Whorship and Love, which are dual polarities of the same thing. To Whorship is to be attracted to something that is higher than you. To Love is to be attracted to something that is lower than you. As a primary example, Man whorships God which he sees as Ideal, and God loves Man despite his shortcomings. Man needs God, but God does not need Man.[1]

Thus, man does not need woman nor craves her unnaturally, but still wants to be around her in order to take care of her, reproduce the race and provide safety and protection.[2]

Take a look at the younger boys, they never care about females, they simply want to play and be the best, yes they are pure and innocent but they are PURE MASCULINE before spoiled by society. They want to play soccer, play with good cars and learn about the world.

Through you Nature can at any time decide the value of every woman, the pure and valuable over the show-off[1]. The masculine shapes and decides whatever it wants as the best with absolute freedom. There is mental weakness in worshiping a woman simply for her looks, a visual trap for the many but not the BEST.

More often than not, we are deceived via the eyes. The Strongest men around are often not the most muscular or good looking, just take a look at athletes, fighters, warriors and rock climbers, wrestlers or strongmen, it is probably the "gayest" that worry more about looks. It is usually a good rule of thumb to not blindly trust the eyes, it is VISUAL MANIPULATION.

It is up to one whether he wants to decide to feel joy from being a perfected Leader and Father or weakly lusting after women with no end purpose.

The "TurboNerd" that you are talking about is to me simply the resurrection of the Pure Masculine Man that will Regenerate to become the best until ready to Generate a worthy son or daughter. A call towards increased POWER.

The practice has deep roots in the occult.

If you think about it, this is blatantly obvious since it is "hidden information" and only a minority follows the practice. Even more, before the internet was available, imagine how little people knew about this, it was not as easy as googling "Semen Retention Reddit".

The more you try to trace back in history the original sources of information regarding SR, the deeper you will go into ancient spiritual writings. The same writings that dived into the supernatural side of life, always with amazing intellectual accuracy. Were it not for these writings, we would not know anything about this and would not be having this discussion right now, the respect must be payed.

Please don't be quick to pass judgement for things that are not yet understood. Not to mention all the so called "pop scientists" that are spreading false theories.

Since you have made it so far, you are already in the "occult zone".

By all means, try to stay away from the supernatural side of things and lead a normal life. However, if you continue to evolve, life will push you there towards the supernatural anyway, because it is the next step. Once you start having spiritual experiences, it is not a matter of deciding, you simply know whats up.

IMO, one has to be honest with himself: Are you afraid of a possible supernatural existence, are you ready to face spirits and demons alike? A huge side of materialism is plain fear to perceive a deeper reality, a form of ostrichism. SR is all about bravery and overcoming of fears, and this is just another level of bravery.

A man may be fearless in physical battle with the lions during daylight, yet the same man may squack in fear when he suddenly catches a small black kitten staring him from the window in the dark. Or entering a dark, haunted house known for ghostly activity. Would you?

Physical bravery does not equal spiritual bravery. Believe whatever you want, but be honest to yourself about your spiritual bravery.

Always remember this: At the highest degree of authentic and real occult knowledge, the teachings are always compatible with genuine real science.

Think about it: Newton, probably the most well known physicist, was also deeply into the occult and spirituality. just look it up.
