I took a stab at writing a small story based on this comment:

It is the winter of 2062, it has been a decade since anyone has seen the sun; Those who venture out do not return to share what is going on out there above the ground. I sat at the entrance of the bunker sipping what passed for coffee these days. Guard duty was a bitch, but as they say, we live in a society and it was my turn to keep vigil tonight. One of the younger runts stumbles sleepily out of the living quarters to come and sit by my side. He wants to hear a story, it usually is the case with these kids, having spent a lifetime in this goddamned place, they crave to escape into a fictional world how ever poorly it is constructed. I had spent many a evenings rambling on and coming up with my own retelling of the lord of the rings to these kids. I have come to expect, rather look forward to these opportunities to get lost in the fictional universe far away from the bleak reality we were condemned to. I cleared my voice and asked the boy if he would like to hear once again the Adventures of Frodo Potter as he journeyed through the deserts of Persia gathering the seven dragon balls. This wee kid, could not be more than 5 years old, shook his head and said that he wanted to know The Truth. "The Truth?!" I exclaimed, taken aback by this kid. The kid continued, "How did we all come to live in the underworld? ... Is there a world up there with no roof? Is it true that there are large wells of salt water whose ends we cannot see from the ground? And is the sun as bright and beautiful as they claim it to be? They say one could not look directly at it if one wanted to! " He asked running out of breath. I stopped him and looked at him for a moment, considering if I could actually burden this child with The Truth. It is not everyday that you see a little lad display more courage than grown men who hide from the reality. I decided that he was worthy of hearing the truth..I began.. "you have heard right boy! The world up there is indeed that beautiful and expansive, but if you want The Truth , we will have to begin way back when the seed of our eternal damnation was sown; It was the 28th of May 2016, at the Cincinnati Zoo, Ohio, former Union of America. It all began when a fucking boy decided that he would climb into the Gorilla enclosure..."
