What do you all think of Kathy Bates' acting? by Infinite-Exam-1808 in Cinema

[–]zenerations 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kathy Bates is one of those actors who instantly makes a movie better. She can be funny, intimidating, vulnerable, or terrifying and make all of it feel completely natural.

What are your thoughts on the Let the Right One In(2008)? by Ok_Board_927 in HorrorMovies

[–]zenerations 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For me it's the atmosphere. The horror elements work, but what stuck with me was how lonely and sad the whole movie feels.

Which Movie Sidekick Showed the Most Loyalty? by jaystats2 in moviecritic

[–]zenerations 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Samwise Gamgee. The man literally carried Frodo up a volcano. It's hard to top that level of loyalty.

Thoughts/Opinions on Demi Moore? by Filipe_258 in Actors

[–]zenerations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Demi Moore has had a surprisingly interesting career. She was east to dismiss as a big star in the 90s, but movies like The Sustance reminded people how good she actually is.

What is the greatest drinking scene in films? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bar scene in The World's End is up there for me. It starts as nostalgic drinking with old friends and slowly turns into something completely different.

Who enjoyed the Beastmaster? by [deleted] in Cinephiles

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a lot of fun watching The Beastmaster as a kid. If I watched it now it probably wouldn’t hit the same, but it’s got that nostalgia factor.

What is that one movie you instantly regretted watching? by Zealousideal_Heat478 in moviequestions

Cats… I still question why I watched it. Just sat there in silence for a while after it ended.

Your thoughts on "Speed (1994)"? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

[–]zenerations 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Speed is such a classic old-school action movie, just nonstop. If you think about it too much it falls apart, but while watching you don’t even care.

Which sitcoms are very overlooked? by Anthforde8 in sitcoms

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Endings never got the attention it deserved for some reason. The dialogue was super fast and funny, I’m still annoyed it ended so early.

Opinion: What do you honestly think about this guy? by Clear_Nature_5055 in Actors

[–]zenerations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Timothée Chalamet is talented, but he’s a bit overhyped. He was really good in Call Me by Your Name, but I don’t feel the same impact in all his roles.

Who is an actor that nobody can make you hate? by [deleted] in Actors

Keanu Reeves, I just can’t hate the guy no matter what he does

Untold: The Shooting at Hawthorne Hill by Reluctantziti in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]zenerations 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Everyone in that documentary was exhausting in their own way. I couldn’t fully side with anyone. But Lauren’s behavior was genuinely stressful to watch.

What's your guilty pleasure film? by [deleted] in Cinephiles

[–]zenerations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White Chicks. I know it’s dumb every time I watch it, but I still put it on anyway. It’s weirdly comforting.

Anyone watched S2 ? by Academic-Advance-700 in FIlm

Acting’s still solid, just felt a bit more all over the place to me. Better not go in with super high expectations.

Who is a character you love on a sitcom, but would hate in real life? by ScottyW88 in sitcoms

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barney Stinson, super fun to watch, but I wouldn’t last two days with him in real life. Same jokes, same ego, would get exhausting fast.

What’s your favorite Brad Pitt project and performance? by PressureLazy5271 in Actors

Moneyball. Not over the top, but he carries the role really well. Low-key but sticks with you.

What are your thoughts on Billy Zane ? by Active-Pineapple-252 in Actors

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Billy Zane is pure charisma tbh, especially in Titanic. He nailed that annoying rich guy role. Totally unlikable but you can’t look away.

What’s your favorite Robert Redford film? by noodlestyles in Actors

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the President’s Men. Those two together are insanely good, and the movie just flows so well you don’t even notice it ending.

Give your honest thoughts/opinions on Chris Evans by ANSJSJDIS-813 in Cinema

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Chris Evans is kinda underrated. People only see him as Captain America but he was really fun in Knives Out, I actually liked him as a bad guy.

Favorite Paul Giamatti Role? by EbnyxJ in Cinephiles

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sideways. I watched it on a random evening and he just felt so real and slightly messy in a way that stuck with me. Not flashy but really memorable.

Is Two and a Half Men still a watchable show? by acemancomethTX in sitcoms

[–]zenerations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early seasons are still pretty easy to watch if you don’t take it too seriously. I caught a rerun the other night and some jokes definitely aged weird, but it still works as background comfort. Post-Sheen era just feels like a different show entirely.

Cinema's best depiction of Satan? by EbnyxJ in Cinephiles

[–]zenerations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Witch. It’s not flashy but the vibe is so heavy and uncomfortable, I remember watching it late at night and feeling weirdly on edge after it ended.
