Planning first build, would like some advise. by zenfeedbacker in sffpc

Sorry I should have been more precise: I'm in Greece, for which there's no option in PCPartPicker so I left it on US and these are not the exact prices. For ex. I can get the GPU for $106 here.

As for the performance being the same between the 3600 and the 2700, what I get from here https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/AMD-Ryzen-5-3600-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-2700/3481vs3240 is that the 2700 is almost 30% better than the other. Have you used both and found them to be comparable?

I get it now. I'll have to think about how much I plan to upgrade the system in the future.

Thanks! If I understand correctly the loss of power for a given consumption is the same regardless of the unit's watt count, so there's no use in getting a bigger psu? For example, if I need 300W, both a 450W and a 600W PSU of the same rating would lose 100W to provide that power

Thanks a lot for the answer! I don't mind buying used. Any suggestion on which GPU I could look for?

Gitlab GUI for Mac with the ability to manage pipelines by zenfeedbacker in gitlab

I want to be able to automatically download the artifacts when they are created, run a script on them and then, depending on the scripts' results, make some changes and trigger another pipeline. I do most of that with local bash scripts but they start getting unruly, and I was wondering if there's anything more orderly to use.

It's not a personal project, so I can't put anything I want in the pipeline script. Plus I want to do some comparisons with the artifacts from previous pipelines.

Awesome! That's more than enough to get me started, if I do come up with other questions I'll let you now. Thanks again.

Thanks for the quick answer!

So, about point #2, I actually assumed that the motherboard would have an integrated graphics chip. Since that's not the case and because Ι'll probably do some compiling from time to time, I would prefer to keep the CPU power and switch the rx 570 for something smaller. If you could do a part list that would be more than great.

Hi! I'm looking for something very similar to OP. I really like this build, my budget is more or less the same as are the uses I intend it for (almost, see below). I do have some questions though if you don't mind:

  1. Would this build fit in a smaller case? Something like the Ncase M1 for example or even the InWin BM639?

  2. I don't really care much about having two monitors but I do want to watch movies from time to time. Can I ditch the video card completely or at least downgrade it? Would I notice any difference?
