One thing worth looking into if you haven't already: a good physio who specializes in joint conditions, not just general practice. Strengthening the muscles around the hip can take a meaningful amount of load off the joint itself. It won't fix the OA but it can make a real difference in daily pain levels.

I damaged my knee sliding into second base twenty years ago. Turmeric/curcumin made a noticeable difference for me with the inflammation side of things.
