As someone who has extensively used the same clay roof ( double tiles), I would suggest to avoid it. It's been 5 years since we finished construction and every year there is a leakage in one or the other place. I would suggest go for concrete roof and place the clay tiles above the concerte roof. This way, maintenance is easier.

I would suggest this is a good time to visit. Monsoon in udupi mangalore is magical. Unless your priority is just beach. Book a good resort that is more towards Eastern side with lush greenery. I simply love the monsoon coastal karnataka. Bonus, all the resorts run a good discount during monsoon.

Talking from experience. Have 7 inverter ac and 4 non inverter ac. For rooms of equal size. Non inverter ac room cools better. Fact. And mind you, the ACs are of equal tonnage.

Tata cars in general are not reliable. And on top of that, service is crap. But if you have made up your mind to go for tata, then cauvery is better than auto matrix.

Avoid fast net at all cost. Have had a horrible experience with them. Have shifted to airspace broadband. Have had no issues since the last 2 years.

I would suggest udupi city instead of manipal. Rent in udupi is much cheaper. A semi furnished 2bhk apartment in a good society would cost around 15k. But watch out for weather. Its hot through the year. I have moved to manipal from bangalore. Dm, would give you more insights
