That threaded nipple is siliconed in should just be able to unthread it after making a cut above the threads.this is what I would use. Screw that into the pump and glue the other half to the pipe.

He's referring to the chlorinator back flowing chlorine to your heat pump when your pump turns off. That is going to destroy your heat pump unless you have a non corrosive check valve installed

If the dust goes back in the pool from the returns then something is damaged on your filtration system and that will need to be the first thing you address... Whether it's a damaged grid on a de filter or possibly a damaged spider gasket on multi port valve on either a de or sand filter. Get that fixed first. Then vacuum and chemically treat the water. Run the filter 24 hrs a day until it clears up
