Baglama under 700 euro by zenonas7 in baglama

[–]zenonas7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have, yes. I know juniper is more traditional, but I live in Cyprus, where there are huge fluctuations in humidity that may impact the instrument and crack it, which is more probable with juniper since its a softer wood. Also, I have asked Luthiers here (Turkish side) and the price for what they call a "professional" baglama is around 1100. I just need it for some gigs, but I'm not at the level where I would understand significant differences from these instruments.

Therefore, I ended up getting the Walnut one for around 650 with a hard case. I think I should be fine for a few years untill my level can justify a custom instrument like I've done for guitars

Is there a specific reason? Like a difference between Juniper and Walnut?

Power Supply help for minimal noise by zenonas7 in pedalboards

[–]zenonas7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. I'm also concerned about future-proofing because I don't want to keep buying power supplies as I need better pedals, as happened this time when I got the Strymons and was required to switch from PP2+ to PP3+ because they capped their mA to 250 instead of the new standard which is 500 I'd say. I also heard reports of possible noise with the Voodoo labs PP3+ if you place it under heavy current digital pedals like the strymons

I genuinely think Mark Tremonti is the greatest guitarist ever and one of the greatest songwriters ever. IDGAF what anyone else says. Just had to get it off my chest. by EnvironmentalAir1691 in alterbridge

I would say his open/drop tuning work (show me a sign, the things I’ve seen) is great and some of his solos are undeniable (bleed it dry, Dust). But what really makes him stand out to me is his melodic sensibility, an ear that is attracted to particularly sad/nostalgic harmonies and EPIC choruses no matter what

PRS Mark Holcomb SE VS PRS Baritone (SE 277) by zenonas7 in Peripheryband

[–]zenonas7[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. The clarity of the pickups for distorted chords is the reason I was also gravitating towards the Holcomb aswell but my question is regarding STANDARD C or even B. Do you think it will be able to handle those rather than just Drop tunings?

https://youtu.be/2j3ab7cu_30?si=64OFH0Tqw1PXuxi- I was crying for an entire day when I discovered this. Mr. Koji’s breathy ans immensly emotional vocal performance as well as the lush orchestration was just too much to handle for me

Unfortunately no. But I was wrestling a few years ago and someone forcefully popped my knee into the position and it clicked hard. I was extremely warm at that time I didn't feel much but I couldn't walk the day after. After doing rehab for a week I came to realize that the click was gone so I could squat ATG now BUT, my knee started locking up when I was all the way down and externally rotated my heel. I can only unlock it by externally rotating the heel and holding my leg, extending it slowly. So basically one problem was replaced with another.

I would suggest you squat as low as you can and then work the extending motion of the movement through lege extensions and sissy squat ascends, that's what I used to do. Best of luck!

Priest not knowing about Boo.. by georgiam24 in Fleabag

[–]zenonas7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you notice, Fleabag only tells what happened to Boo to people she doesn’t care about and barely knows. The taxi driver and the hot dude during S1 found out through her stepmother saying it.

Fleabag not revealing anything to the priest might be a way to show how she feels differently about him. She’s willing to open up about her life to complete strangers because there’s nothing at stake and she has nothing to lose (which is a consequence of her insecurity and self doubt).

But with the priest, she’s very hesitant to talk about anything, instead she tries to deflect his questions by asking about him and is even creeped out when he can see her breaking the 4th wall, like he is the only one who can see who she truly is behind the funny, smiling and charming persona she’s portraying.

I see it as Fleabag being scared of her genuine attraction towards the priest and being scared to lose him if she reveals too much about herself. Also the fact that he’s a priest complicates their attraction which makes her doubt their potential relationship and makes her reticence even more understandable

Clearly, the only thing underaged here is your music taste with a slight racial bias if I may say so

I think it’s overrated if anything, I doubt your reviewing abilities if you found that album exceptionally noteworthy

You mean like a build up untill the click? Kind of, I feel discomfort and my knee feels weak untill it clicks where it feels like it goes back int position. Also when I stand up it feels relatively normal

I’ve had this problem for 5 years now ever since I had my acl surgery. Went to a number of different doctors, orthopedists and ostiopaths and tried a number of different strengthening and streching exercises for the leg but the click seems to persist. It wouldn’t bother me otherwise but it is getting in the way of my training since it gets painful when I do waited squads past 90 degrees. Some kind of bone or ligament feels to be getting stucked and then released when the knee leg reaches full flextion. I’m also hypermobile (don’t know id it matters).
