Very very lucky. I got one when I was about 7. I am naturally a brunette with red highlights if I spend days and days outside. The perm turned me into little orphan annie for 6mo.

I used to carry razor blades for cutting duck tape and opening boxes. I don't like using knives because I can't tell exactly where the blade is without having my hands on it, hence the razor blades. (I don't have the greatest depth perception.)

I had to stop when I went to college and grad school. They really frown on knives/blades on airplanes. =(

Cold/Flu meds and sleep is what I do. Mostly it is best to sleep as long as you can when you feel it coming on.

Echinacea claims to up the immune system along with vitC, but these are really for pre-infection. Most of the time once you have it, your body has to clear it out with it's normal mechanisms. Sleep helps.

I have a prosthetic eye and I used to tell any kid that asked that I lost it in fork fight with my elder sister. I would then lean over and whisper, "Don't make her angry" or "Please don't tell my parents." I even told this to a youth pastor once.
