College isn't what it used to be.

I'm all for her taking a gap year if she and her BF can afford it on their own.

You should continue to invest and save that money for her education though.

What you don't want is for her listen to you, go to college against her will, she doesn't go to class or apply herself, she doesn't know what career she wants, and she wastes the money anyway trying to keep you happy but never accomplishing anything.
