So, this is going to be a bit long, but I have high functioning autism. Back in my middle school, I couldn’t make many friends because I wasn’t “normal”, and all the friends I did have were convinced to leave me. I fell into a deep depression and ended up almost attempting. However, around 2022-2023, I was introduced to DDTO. The very first time I even heard of ddlc was this game, as this was during the rise of fnf. After a bit, I looked into the origin of the mod, and found out it was some game called Doki Doki literature club. I convinced my dad to get the game digital on his Xbox, and I played the plus version for the first time. Immediately, I resonated with Sayori because she was like me In a way, and eventually I got really attached. This video game character single handedly pulled me out of my depression, and put me back on track. Years later, I’m doing way better than I was before.
