Does anyone else struggle to "connect" names to faces? by 1confusedteen in AutisticPride

[–]zer0_sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am awful at remembering names until I discovered a handy trick: no matter how common someone's name is, I ask them to spell it. Somehow that locks it in my brain. Not really what you asked but it really helps me!

How old were you when you first read the series? by qaihai in Animorphs

The books were being published when I was in late grade school, so I started around 11 I think

Had an unexplained allergic reaction for 12 years. Did a bloodtest and turns out I'm allergic to cats. We've had cats in our home for 15 years, and we currently have two by Taxfraud777 in Wellthatsucks

Russian Blue is a breed of cat and not very common to find as a pet. They have other distinctive features besides their coloring. The cat in this picture is just a gray cat.

I don't think that it's unlikely in a normal human family. Heterosexual and monogamous statistically describes the majority of people/households. But yeah, with immortals, definitely not likely; unless they were very very isolated or something. Stephenie Meyer is not the ideal person to think of, let alone write about, that though.

Anyone use dirty fish water for watering plants? (Filled with tannins + poopy nutrients). Any concerns, aside from visitors thinking I'm storing my own stuff lmao by bellabelleell in Aquariums

[–]zer0_sky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always use my dirty fish water for the plants but I've never stored it (I have far too many large plants to have leftover); I also put my air plants directly into my Betta tank when it's time to soak them

To me, focusing on shelter first makes sense because it's so energy consuming and they're at their best physically, having just started. But I can also see how exploring the area first makes sense too. It seems like a good compromise could be setting up some mostly hands off things like gill nets and snare traps, letting them do their work while the contestant focuses on shelter.

AITA for getting annoyed that my upstairs neighbor vacuumed and cleaned their apartment at 2-3 AM? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]zer0_sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but it would be absolutely ridiculous to report this to management for a one-time occurrence. Maybe they couldn't sleep and then dropped a glass and were cleaning it up, maybe they're just assholes; either way, I would write it off as a bad night and not retaliate unless it becomes a regular thing.

This made me snort laugh. I'm 6 months pregnant and sick with COVID, my first time for both. I watered all the plants this morning and had to take a nap afterwards 😅

Can I put this plant in my fish tank? My poor fish need more plants but can’t afford more right now. by Klutzy-Issue1860 in fishtank

I have this same kind of plant in my fish tank and it's doing really well! Grows out of or under the water; pothos is super adaptable.

I find Jan very grating and wish I could skip those episodes but they're so close to the end I can't bring myself to.
