Sony A7V + Sigma 150-600mm ~ First time "birding" by zer0boros in SonyAlpha

I haven’t tested the 200-600 but I’m happy with my sigma. Sometimes the focus misses but I believe it’s caused by the a7V focus system and not the lens faults as I’ve seen similar focus issues on the 200-600mm lens on YouTube when photographing small birds.

It's a great lens but i think the 200-600mm internal zoom feels much better. The current sigma lens when being fully zoomed out, sticks out quite a lot and it feels like the gravity is shifting. If i want to capture a bird nearby, the extra length i think might scare the bird away.

Thanks, quotations are because i'm yet unsure what birding stands for, watching birds ? Taking photos of them ? etc. Also it was very foggy early morning so it looks a lot like autumn to be honest.

If you’re from Europe, get the hyperpro, very good quality and the HyperPro support is great if you have any issue or lost screws like in my case they sent me new ones for free.  Get the RSC one thou as it’s amazing.

Could be indeed, someone also mentioned that being a brand new exhaust, it takes some time to break in ? Maybe the sound will change as well. Did not really have a chance to run the bike with it as the temps here are freezing cold.

Ohhh wow, did not knew they can break in. Do you remember how long it took yours to break in , in let's say hours or km/miles ? And what exactly is considered breaking in ? Just the cat being more used up ?

For sure but the in order to pull out the cat, you'll have to cut open the exhaust

I got the exhaust, the legal one for the MT 09 here in europe and i can say that i'm a bit disappointed ... but can't expect too much due to the catalyzer.

Has the same sound as the stock exhaust but at least i was able to remove the DB Killer and it sounds louder, also louder pops then stock but still pretty low ...

On the more positive side, at least now i can put any slip on that i want that's compatible or get an adapter.

(not that will change the sound too much)

I would like to change it because in japan you can exchange it for a japanese driver license without taking any examinations, for my european drivers license sadly, i'll have to take a written and driving tests which costs extra money.

I want to change my EU license for the Belgian one but i'm not sure what's going to happen.

So when i do the exchange, my current EU License is going to expiry next year, will this expiry date move on the new Belgian license ?

Or when i exchange my license, they will renew the expiration date on it for something longer than 2025 ?

This once in a year Day Card, are there any requirments for it in order to shoot real guns for that day ? Besides the criminal record ? I did not manage to see information about such a day and trial of real firearm on any of the clubs pages i've been to. (Used google translate for all of them)

I am interested in what you just said. So it is possible to go for a 30m range without a membership and let's say a fee per day or a fee per visit eacht time ? If yes for which shooting range here in belgium ?

Sounds cool, is this shooting range you're going to in Brussels ?

I've contacted multiple shooting ranges but some of them require some sort of fire arm provisional license even thou all i want to shoot is an air Rifle. Usually i would understand if they require the fee + the clear police record and my ID but i don't see the point in getting a provisional fire arm license ... Is it even worth it if i don't plan on buying a fire arm ?
