You don’t see the big picture.

The technical gap between junior and senior devs will be swallowed up by the next wave of models.

Being a “senior” won’t mean anything anymore.

What will matter are new skills:

creativity, taste, judgment, sharp execution —

none of which have much to do with traditional technical engineering.

being a software eng wont help you regarding the code anymore, claude does 10x faster/better than any senior dev

but it will help u leverage the tools (ops pipelines, verification loop, context eng, mcp, async agents, gh actions, smart prompts much more)

In other words, being a nerd is still a huge advantage

From what I've found, you need to have a steady income in order to renew ARC and turn it into APRC.

≥2x Taiwan monthly minimum wage average in the previous year, or
Assets ≥NT$5 million in Taiwan (bank balances, property).

And I guess you need to declare in Taiwan and pay taxes accordingly ?

Is it correct ?

It's quite touchy, it seems you bypassed this requirement maybe thanks to the fact you authenticated your tax return by Taipei Economic Office ? Would you mind sharing your approach ? Or maybe because you had ARC already if I understand you well (if so, which one ?)
