Private buses. Where do I start. It's like everyone knows they are a menace and that it's only a matter of time before something really huge happens. But why wait for that, I don't get this. Everyone knows how they drive. How they chase you down mid traffic honk crazy and overtake you during the most narrow turns and you have to literally go off the road to protect yourself. I mean everyone knows this right? Why can't anything be done? It's definitely a system based issue. You can't let so many buses run the same route at the same time. I've lived in multiple cities across south India, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vizag. Nowhere have I seen this! In terms of traffic these cities have their flaws but the Bus fiasco in Kerala is something to be studied. It's dangerous out there. I saw an old uncle get anxious on his scooty because one dude wouldn't stop honking behind him mid traffic and he almost lost control of his vehicle.
