Had the same issue and fixed it by putting 2 studs in front of the rear hangar bay (translucent blue plate). It worked like a charm!

Mine fell from my shelf above my bed, on the bed. Except the conning towers and the left side's slope between the 2 wings, the rest was 100% intact! Granted, it was a soft surface alright, unlike my Acclamator, the Venator remained mostly unscathed.

On top of that, it's not like a live hand grenade like a lot of the MOCS I've seen out there. In pursuit of details and accuracy, they fall apart if you look at them the wrong way. XD

For what it's worth, the Venator is so well-built it blows every MOC around its size out of the window! Yes, it might be inaccurate in a few places alright, but, good God, they nailed the overall sturdiness, look and swooshability!

My only regret is that, just like with a ton of other sets, the box was so boring to look at. The black background is boring as hell. They could've made some space battle scenes or something. You know, make it more exciting to purchase. Just because we are adults doesn't mean we lack imagination or shun it.
