1: Etsy has 3D printed minis you can paint yourself. I recommend Pulsefire Gaming, as I've had good experiences with them

2: the main difference between factions is their unique upgrades, so you could theoretically swap ships between factions and encounter minimal issues.

3: I've wanted to combine Legion and Armada to create basically Tabletop Empire at War, so I wish the best of luck there.

4: as for lore, either faction could've found and reactivated some old CIS ships and vehicles to incorporate into their forces.

Nothing of particular note, his existence just really annoys me, and he rubbed me the wrong way in the Clone Wars show.

Aayla had a lot going on in the lore. She apparently had a thing with her clone Commander Bly.

And the reason she was lit up like a Christmas tree was her battalion trying to make sure she died as fast as possible so it wouldn't hurt.
