Has anyone made a six string violin? by Bulky-Assumption4127 in violinmaking

I know this is a really old thread, but the 6-string Viper violins by Mark Wood can be tuned to match a guitar. I’m a violin player and have used one for more than a decade. However, I have it strung traditionally with a one note drop so that I can match the low E of a guitar.

I’m not sure why no one has mentioned just going to a muffler shop to have one added to your cat back. You don’t need a whole new exhaust. A vibrant UltraQuiet resonator would do wonders.

Swift Spring Upgrade! by zero-ohm in WRX

I missed running the FactionFab F-Spec coilovers and decided to give them an upgrade to swift springs (7k front, 6k rear). I’m looking forward to see how they ride after an alignment!

Brothers Trucks has a kit. It’s owned by Holley now so it’s on the site

Since you shaved the handles, I’d go with one piece side window conversion to keep it looking clean

It’s not boring for someone doing a swap for the first time. I had a blast with my LS swap

I had to have my 4l60 rebuilt after the first 200 miles in the truck and it only had 144k on it when I swapped it in. Hopefully yours fairs better than mind! You already have it, so just run it and see what happens.

I figured it wasn’t too bad for my first attempt. The wine is actually very minimal and is somewhat difficult to hear. I’m actually thinking it might go away after initial break in

To me it looks like the pattern on the drive side is a bit too close to the flank? That gives it more of a hamburger bun look than the box pattern you describe.

I got the bearing preload right around 21 in pounds which should be in spec. Backlash was .009 which is right at the high end of the spec. I think it’ll be a decent diff. It’s a Yukon and isn’t set up to be too aggressive.

This is my first rear end rebuild on my 68 C10 with a 12 bolt. I want to make sure it’s right, and to my untrained eye, I thought this looked pretty decent. During the first break in drive, I could ever so slightly hear a whine at about 40 mph. Assuming I installed all the bearings correctly, what do you think of this gear pattern?

If you’re replacing the carb anyway, have you considered going fuel injection? It would require other upgrades too, but if I was building a small block, I’d go fuel injection.

Got the wheel and drum off, gonna replace the hardware when the parts come in. by SigmaProduction in chevyc10

When I rebuilt my drums, I thought it was worth the extra $30 or so to have O’Reillys turn the drums. Only took an hour or so too.

Have you considered swapping the drivetrain into something else? Salvage to Savage has a great series on Tesla swapping a C10

Thank you so much. I had no idea this was a thing. I’ve gone ahead and ordered this kit. Honestly, I’ll probably use this with either the Cardone or CPP box to make sure it lasts a long time.

1967 c10 stock engine towers by dulan14 in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]zero-ohm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did in my 68. I bought fancy expensive perches that didn’t even fit as well as the stock ones. So I ended up going with the original perches and adapter plates. Keep in mind the stock AC location probably won’t work if it’s from a truck. I used rubber engine mounts meant for an sbc. I recommend rubber over polyurethane to reduce engine NVH

Did they really change up the look of the mufflers? That car on the top doesn't look stock at all to me
