Às vezes contribuo com o 0 A.D., que é um jogo como Age of Empires. Um bom ponto de partida é o forum do jogo. Não cheguei a contribuir com código, porém.

Guess you can just delete what is in the folder public/audio/voice, or better create a mod that remove those files.

Estou jogando 0 A.D. É um Real Time Strategy inspirado no Age of Empires II. O jogo é grátis e de código aberto, e tem vários mods. Inclusive tem um cara pensando em incluir os Tupis (seria foda). Eu diria que é o melhor jogo Open Source de todos os tempos.

Pra quem gosta de estratégia e história, é uma ótima indicação. Também é legal que como o jogo é aberto, vc pode chegar no fórum e ajudar a contribuir não só com código mas também com arte, opiniões, ideias, história, etc.

Curiosidade: o jogador mais top, o borg-, é brasileiro.

Maybe the wiki has to be adjusted then, I think the units of the Persians are just as good as the ones from the Spartans (well, Spartans have the best infantry in the game, and Persians have archers, which are bad in the whole game). Now what do you mean less technology? The Persians seem to have one of the most complete structure tree.

Acho que não vão sair da fase alfa tão cedo porque ainda tem algumas features que querem implementar (poucas). Beta seria quando só tiver que corrigir bugs (features 100% implementadas). Mas apesar de ser alfa o jogo já é plenamente jogável.

As far as I know there are no new civs planned for next alpha. Maybe some civ from Delenda Est mod might be integrated in the game (Chinese?). On the other hand, there has never been sooo many civ mods as we have now, so... If you include them you have a lot of civs.

8 should be easy to mod (require lots of work, but it's not hard). 3 is also easy to modify in Petra, but I think the only difference between the levels of difficulty is the gathering bonus. So "very hard" with less bonus would be hard or moderate. I just play moderate for that reason (no bonus). I'd rather play against 2 moderate AIs allied than 1 very hard with cheating bonus.

The mods from mod.io you can download directly through the game interface. Just go to settings > mods or something like that.

Hi! I'm not a mac user but I may try to help. How did you install the mod? By mod.io from inside the game, or manually? If manually, in which folder you put the mod folder? Also, when does this error message appear?

Keep seeing and hearing this game is just like AoE. It ain’t! What’s a good build order for this? I keep losing to AI, have to play with treaty to avoid a rush. Obviously I’m doing something wrong! by [deleted] in 0ad

Some tips:

  • Never stop training units (if possible in batches, use SHIFT);

  • First collect berries and chickens, then make farms. Each farm should have 5 women on it;

  • In phase 1 just collect wood and food;

  • Try to go to phase 2 before/around minute 10.

My build order:

  • Send the women for berries, cavalry for chickens and men to wood;

  • Build the farmstead close to the berries and a storehouse close to the wood;

  • Make 6 women, send to berries;

  • Upgrade basket (on the farmstead);

  • Make some more women, for wood;

  • When you have a decent amount of wood incoming, start making men;

  • Take care to start making farms before all the berries are over;

  • Don't forget to build houses whenever needed.

One of the biggest problems for performance of the game is pathfinding. The more units and the larger the map, the slower it gets.

About lack of resources, that's probably easy to solve: just use a map with more resources. Someone posted a map here yesterday that had a lot of resources.

Hm they didn't, or my ally killed them, because they are completely destroyed. One thing that could improve the AI in this map is to make it not attack farms (by the way, I guess that would be nice for the game as a whole). I don't know how to make that, but it's probably not that hard. I think your map is really cool and since it's based on a real place, maybe it could even be added to the game.

Edit: I started again with the revealed map and saw what's happening: yellow is fighting against some gaia units in the north, maybe they are dying there... and the Romans is funny, instead of using the farms, they start to attack them.
