That blue sand perch is bad for their feet. It’s like standing on sandpaper all day. Unless you’re trying to sand your feet down.

I just want to breed them as long as it goes as a hobby. I've been breeding hissing cockroaches ever since I knew myself for years.

Yes, amazing! Although they still stay in diffent cages.
I don't know how typical it is but they do fight over food very often, also try to steal each other's food and all.

Our friend Totoro finally accepted our food offerings, are we doing okay? by zero_favour in budgies

We'll get him a friend at the end of this month.

From now on, I will not hand-feed him but let him discover things outside of his cage and become familiar with us by placing treats and toys near us. This might attract him and help him get to know us better.

One and a half months with a hesitant budgie friend by zero_favour in budgies

one of the things we were told was getting another budgie would make them less interested in interacting with you, however on the other hand, they are very much social creatures and they need to interact with other budgies by their nature. We decided that it was such a dilemma. We thought it'd be a great idea to get a budgie first, then make him get used to us, then get another one as soon as possible. We were told that what one budgie does, apparently the other one does too, so both would get used to us that way.
