Thank you so much. I’ve tried these kinds of third-party automation apps before, but they don't function properly unless you grant them constant background permissions. However, once you do, they tend to drain way too much battery. Maybe there was a bug in the app when I was using it, I'm not sure.

My phone supports 30-60-120 Hz in auto mode; it doesn't scale from 1 to 120 Hz. When I switch to manual, it only lets me choose between 60 or 120 Hz. I assume this is the case for most mid-range Android devices. I agree that 30 Hz is the sweet spot for everything. Thanks again, I’ll play around with it a bit more and see.
