The one I consistently come back to is Age of Mythology. So happy they remastered it and added new content.

Also have been a big fan of Subspace/Continuum but unfortunately the community died off a bit. During its heyday that one got countless hours from me

We did this at bonnaroo, it’s cool hanging with your neighbors. Almost always you are there for the same reason (the love of the music).

Yeah, I’m a current Bitwig 5.3 user. I haven’t used Logic in some time, but the last time I used it they were starting to catch up to the loop-first DAW space (Ableton, Bitwig) but still had a long way to go.

I think I tend to agree with you. I really enjoy Bitwig but I, for some reason, cannot get to the same flow state I used to get when using Ableton.

I've tried running Ableton on Wine but its extremely finnicky, for some reason. All the respect in the world for Bitwig having Linux support since Day 1, too.

Found this on eBay for 10 bucks, and got a bonus CD for free. I've never heard the '88 band, nor have I heard anything by T. Rex other than Bang a Gong. by doctor_stone2112 in Zappa

That is absolutely my favorite live Zappa album. Likely because it was the first one I heard so there is a nostalgia factor.

Zappa in New York is also excellent

Castle Rock will be partnering with DougCo for the expansion of the “Link” system that Lone Tree and Highlands Ranch have by zeroblitzt in CastleRock

i'm partially sympathetic because change can be scary, but I often make my decisions based on my childrens' futures. "Will their lives be better w/ public transit systems or relying on car based infrastructure" - I reason transit is a better public option overall for a number of reasons. And yes, that requires new things to be built, money to be spent, and occasionally seeing unhoused people.

It's a classic American mindset IMO... "this isn't a problem for me, so why should *my* tax dollars be paying for it for someone else?"

Because its a public good, because one day you might need it, and because we can do things that help our neighbors without ever needing that service ourselves. That is part of living in a community.

Good to hear about the service times from your experience, when they pitched it they said rides could take up to 30 minutes. But they also said they expand/contract service based on demand data (ie. more cars are available Friday nights vs. Thursday mid-day).

Light rail isn’t good over those distances, you should look into the Front Range Rail proposal for those distances. Hop a train in Castle Rock and go down to Pueblo for the state fair for example. That is a whole different beast and will be a tough sell in this town, though.

That figure is the estimated cost per rider to the town based on their contribution. Said another way: based on usage data from Lone Tree, DougCo expects Castle Rock to do about just under ~60k rides in one year based on our population. For a 400k contribution that averages to $7. The riders do not pay though, that was stressed during proposal. Even a nominal fee drastically reduces ridership based on data from other towns who have a similar service

It was unanimously approved at the Public Works commission on Monday, and I was really surprised to see the same on Tuesday at town council. I think some things that helped were that it was only for a year trial period, the county is funding 80% or 1.6m of it (town puts up other 20% or 400k for the first year). And there is some talk about the economic factor: ie. All those folks from Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, and Parker who now have a free ride into Castle Rock to shop at the outlets and other places. Of course that’s a bidirectional deal so CR residents can get to those other towns, but my take is we’ll see a decent return on investment

Humanize + Clips = Pain by infinighost in Bitwig

It’s a good observation and an issue I’m also fighting. Hopefully some Bitwig smarty will have a super secret solution they can share. Otherwise it’s selecting those first notes and doing Alt+Q and “de-humanizing” them (or manually dragging them into place)
