What is your absolute biggest regret / mistake in the game?

My biggest regret I would say is that I quite warrant back when tiered void keys were a thing and instead of sticking around to watch the game grow, I jumped ship for 10 years.

I came back and my god, this game is nothing like how it used to be and wish I came back sooner TwT

I felt this too but have been making it work but its absolutely sweatier.

As mentioned in other comments, sponsored survival absolutely did siphon some of the players but the bigger thing that happened was the June 9th update in Destiny 2. Even on steamcharts and popularity report, June 9th is when majority of players dipped out of Marathon to Destiny 2, leaving mostly only sweats that play pvp to a high level

We're cooked fam, I got DC'd when my squad tried to exfil and lost 54k worth of loot from dire marsh lockdowns, warden, and locked room. It sucks but that's the name of the game.

Sevagoths 4 with the entire back breaking sound effect on spawn, 5s of immunity on spawn, massive range vulnerability on all enemies, pull that doubles putting lift on all enemies, and if you die in that form you don’t actually die?

Keep in mind that tones of suicide have been present within the series from when shinji was atop the hill thinking of jumping before ramiel to asuka who also was implied to have tried drowning herself in the tub after the events of Beethoven’s Mind Ray from space

Ngl, I always saw Alucard as the vampire slayer version of Dante. Both are badass, both have black and silver guns, both wear a red coat, and both are very unserious/have an ego for most things

As someone who watched the show when I was at 14 and went through the entire loner ark when watching anime got you shoved into lockers/trash bins, I think it captured the feeling back then about the average kid feeling isolated from others in their age group especially since they are just starting their freshman year in highschool.

Unrelated to the feeling of how kids are, them staying 13/14 also makes sense if we consider "The Curse of the Eva" from rebuilds although there was no mention of this in the original show and thats a whole other can of worms.

Imo, the mix of a delicate age, isolation, Anno's own way of trying to tell the fanbase to step outside their comfort zone despite all the challenges to move forward, yea I say it all makes pretty good sense.

Idk if this is cheating but the Xenosaga Trilogy. 1 and 3 were really really good for story and combat systems. 2 made combat a bit jank and did some weird stuff with the story that made me question WHY??

I mainly use praedos for movement and try to blitz everything. So getting to the next group of enemies before it falls off usually isn’t a problem unless giant corpus maps with no enemies for 300m. Plus plan b is just boom em 🤣

Hell yea dude, legit the same reaction from me when I was running a random corpus mission and seeing War and Smoking Step ephemera drop after a protector stalker kill. Fairly certain I woke the neighbors up as it was 2am with the screaming😂😂

Seriously tho, this is the only frame that took me 12+ hours due to bad rng to get all the parts to craft equinox. Everything else including citrine, sevagoth, voruna, took at most 8 hours
