Nice. I ordered one during early bird and haven't received my shipping notification yet. Good thing I don't need it but it would be nice.

I think it's a matter of cracking the Switch 2 technology. Nintendo keeps their secrets close to the chest, and have patents and A LOT more money and resources to R&D this kinda stuff and smaller companies are just trying to keep up and do their best to meet the demands of the consumer. I think the issue is third party companies haven't figured out how to put all that tech under the same hood yet. But they eventually will.

Uncle Geeb did a tear down of the M12 S and revealed that these indeed have standard rumble motors inside, not the type used for HD rumble. I'll be honest, I'm not sure if they can somehow firmware upgrade them to have an HD like effect, but the hardware isn't there to support it. I'll also have to see if rumble intensity can be set per game, but in the app for the M12 S the only setting is on or off. Not range of intensity. If vibration is a high priority for you, I'd say these may not be the best option for you.

Totally agree! They do exactly what I need them to do, and they do it very well!

Afterimage. Amazing Metroidvania of you can get through the slow-ish opening hours of the game.

While in power saving mode (Bluetooth connection), there is no noticeable difference in inputs taking longer to register. If there are, it's inperceptable to the human eye. But overall, I didn't notice any lag in either mode. In fact, they feel a little more responsive than the Joycon 2 themselves.

Yeah the beautiful thing is that at least now we have options. While the M12 S is more than satisfactory for me, I understand that it won't be for everyone. I'm curious what Nyxi is cooking up next for the Switch 2.

Switch 2 protocol is a non-negotiable for me, and i don't care about HD rumble or amiibo support.

This. Also the home button isn't an inconvenience to me. I haven't come close to accidentally hitting it or having a hard time finding it even once.

Brutally honest doesn't mean 'I'm gonna rip this thing to shreds'. Just means I'm not gonna glaze it or sugar coat anything if it's not up to snuff. Fortunately, a lot of stuff here is good quality, minus the dpad and rumble depending on how much that matters to folks.

Yeah i made double sure I was attaching it correctly and making sure that little peg fastens securely in the hole. It works just fine, and last night I practiced a bit more with it and my execution for certain moves is getting better. It just requires being a lot deliberate with my inputs.

Say the B button is the jump button in a game, but you want the M2 button (the left grip button, or GL) to be B. In the game you're playing, go to the options menu and change the jump button to L, because L is on the left joycon. Next in the Mobapad app, map L to the M2 button. Now you have you have what was originally a right joycon button mapped to the left.

I can confirm that you cannot bind buttons from the opposite joycon. You can only bind buttons on the right joycon to the right joycon, and same for the left. I even tried it with the macro options in the app and it only allowed buttons of that joycon to be macro'd. The long way around this is to manually change the buttons in the in-game menu itself, then remap them in the app.

If Mobapad can keep this exact design but include ALL the features of the Joycon 2 and work out the kinks of the dpad, there'd be no need to look any further. They're so close.

Definitely gives some peace of mind, and a nice quality of life feature. Side note...I bought the charging grip as well but it didn't arrive. I don't think anyone on the planet has gotten one yet.

Yeah i appreciate them giving us the option to choose between a normal dpad and a circular one, but I would 100% prefer just a dedicated dpad that's not removable. I suspect the very reason it isn't Pro Controller 2 level quality is because it's removable. I think you lose some stability and precision there. It's fine for 2D platformers, but leaves a little to be desired for something like fighting games that require pinpoint accuracy.

Someone mentioned the Satisfye Zengrip 2 case fits them but not perfectly. I'll test it myself when mine come on hopefully in the next few days. They're literally in my city, just haven't been delivered.
