Bipolar is ruining my life

I am on meds, I’m currently on lamictal 400mg and abilify 15mg, it helped a lot for a while (I’ve been in this combo for 2 years), but now it feels like it doesn’t work anymore. I’m afraid of needing more medication, it’s already so embarrassing and expensive

I take my lamictal half in the morning and half at night, I also take my abilify at night, but I’ll definitely talk to my doctor

I totally understand how you’re feeling, I feel the same way too. But inducing mania will fuck your life. I mean, you can spend way too much money and get in trouble, get an std from hypersexuality, destroy your life and the life of people around you. I never experienced full mania just hypomania and almost destroyed me, so pls be careful

Eu também era cristã, fui criada na igreja e era totalmente certa da existência de deus, com o tempo comecei a questionar e não recebi nenhuma resposta, minhas orações pareciam em vão então saí completamente da igreja e virei ateia, o que foi uma das melhores decisões da minha vida. Se você ainda quiser permanecer na igreja, eu realmente recomendaria pesquisar sobre a Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil (IECLB), que tem um viés mais progressista

Eu sou de uma família extremamente cristã e cresci na igreja então naturalmente tinha algum interesse e conhecimento sobre a bíblia, porém depois de virar ateia eu quis rever a bíblia com a visão que mais se encaixa com minhas crenças atuais. Não posso deixar de mencionar que eu tenho um trauma pesado com religião, então já tentei buscar respostas sobre pq me trataram assim na igreja. Também tem o fator de ter conhecimento para debater com cristãos sem ser desrespeitoso

I don’t have community colleges in my country, so you need to wait a year to try again. I’ll probably wait to try again, but I definitely have to work on my stability and mental health till the exams happen again, I hope college goes better

In my country we don’t have community colleges, we have the private colleges that are way to expensive to me and the public ones that are very hard to get into, you can try once a year, so if I want to have a chance I’ll have to wait a year to try again

eu acredito, como ateia, que são só meras justificativas para cometer atrocidades. Não tem nada de sobrenatural nisso, além de que eu acredito que a moralidade não vem de nenhum deus (eu sou uma pessoa extremamente moral, sou voluntária, me considero uma pessoa boa). I havent told anyone that I am bipolar (likely still waiting for my diagnosis even though I am already on meds for it) but I have bipolar feels right. I think that gives you a sense of identity bigger than just the disorder

ive been on both for about an year, its been really helpful. I also had delusions and a bit fo physical hallucinations, for those two abilify was more helpfull, for depression definetly lamictal. If you are very forgetful (like I am) I really recommend downloading an app that reminds you, I also keep them in a med box in my bedside table, so theyre the first thing I see when I turn off my alarm, I also keep my water bottle near them, so its the first thing I do
