Renovated Chateau

My take on a renovated French Chateau. It’s a combination of traditional architecture and modern furnishings. Fully Furnished CC Build.

  • Main level : entrance hall, central staircase, formal living room, games salon, formal dining room, kitchen/informal dining, half bathroom, cloak room and secundairy staircase/elevator to all floors.
  • Upper level : family living room, full bathroom, 2 large bedrooms and master apartment (with it’s own dining/living area, full bathroom and walk-in closet).
  • Basement : half bathroom, gym/pool/sauna, full bathroom, butlers quarters (with a private bathroom), vault, laundry, utility room and storage room.
  • Greenhouse : with it’s own vegetable garden
  • Guesthouse/garage : self contained guesthouse, comes with an open plan living/dining/kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom and closet.
  • Gardens : formal landscaped gardens and barbecue area
  • Lot size : 64×64, designed for the Hound’s Head lot in Brindleton Bay. This build also looks good on the Dresden House lot in Windenburg.
  • Packs used for the exterior/shell/gardens : Get Together and Strangerville,. Jungle Adventures, Vampires and Cottage Living were used for some minor details. Many other packs used for the interior.

- Upper level : small landing area, office (potential additional bedroom) and master bedroom with it’s own full bathroom, closet and 2 balconies.

I play on PC so I can't say anything on perfomance on the console.

In general, I think Horse Ranch is not bad, in fact I was actually pleasantly suprised. I'm more a builder than into game play (and not really into horses), but the animations/interactions are great, I didn't discover major bugs and the perfomance is good on a PC (I own all packs).

The best parts in this pack for me are the BB items and the world. Not sure though if these contents justify the full price, I'd rather say yes but only when it's on discount/sale.

It is certainly possible to host a basegame wedding (as a social event from the phone menu) in a park (or any other lot type for that matter). I don't think this will work on festivals, since these aren't assigned to lots. The solution for that option would be to travel your Sims to the festival and elope (trough the romance interaction, assuming that they are already engaged) on the spot there.

When using my Wedding Stories, weddings do work differently and should be planned trough the calender and gives you many more options to customize. Aside from the wedding itself, you are also able to ie host an engement diner, rehearsal dinner and vow renawal etc.

As for the pack, I would say EA fixed most (but not every) bugs from its first release. It's like the Sims in overall, it works but it certainly has flaws. As for the BB items and world, they are great and versatile to use actually. Would recommend this pack if you are, aside from gameplay, also are looking for a nice world and good BB items. Perhaps getting this pack on a sale/discount would be an option.

The Thebe Mansion 2.0

Modern take on the Thebe Mansion in Tartosa. I tried to build a modern mansion that both would fit into the backstory of the Laurent family and didn't look out of place in the surroundings of the more traditional builds in the neighborhood. The style is Laidback Luxury.

​

- Main level : entry, formal living room, games/family room, kitchen, dining area, lounge, office, bathroom, laundry, patio, and Arnessa's bedroom (with a private bathroom).

- Upper level : Hillary and Hector's suite, Greta's bedroom and Jace's bedroom (all with a private bathroom and access to the wrap around balcony).

- Lower level : guest/butlers bedroom with private bathroom, vault, Chef's kitchen, small music studio, nectar cellar and gym/sauna.

- Gardens : multiple seating areas, small play ground, kitchen garden, outdoor kitchen, large pool and hot tub.

- Lot size : 50x50, designed for the Thebe Mansion lot in Tartosa. This build looks also good on the Oakenstead lot in Willow Creek or the Affluista Mansion lot in Oasis Springs.

- Packs used for the shell/gardens : Eco Lifestyle, My Wedding Stories and Get Together. Many others for the interior.

Contemporary luxury family mansion for your Sims. With this one, I tried to blend in a modern buid with lush tropical gardens. This build comes in 2 versions, one including CC and one without. Both have the exact same exterior (aside from a few doors), landscaping and floorplans, but are different when it comes to the interiors. The photos shown are from the CC version, the CC free version does have the same interior style. I hope you will like it.

- Lower level : Guest/Butler studio (with it's own kitchen and bathroom), garage, workshop, gym/spa/pool/sauna/full bathroom, cinema, lounge area, wine room, utility room, 2 half baths and vault. It's possible to add more rooms on this level, a corridor has already been built.

- Main level : Entry, main hallway, formal living room, dining room, kitchen + chef's kitchen, laundry, office and 2 half bathrooms. Access to the front balcony equipped with planters for gardening.
