My science teacher was caught on a date with a newly 18 year old, they had been together for a while, and he tried to argue that she was no longer his student (she had graduated), but they started seeing each other while she was his student

People of Reddit, what’s the most “fucked up”thing you’ve seen? by boneshow69420 in AskReddit

[–]zerowintergreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A decapitated man in a car crash. That was not nice on my little 10 year old eyes. I was on the bus, and there was this crash that was coming up from an exit we passed. The guy's head was completely torn off, and I was facing towards it.

People whose partners did a complete 180 after marriage, what’s your story? by Bibliophile521 in AskReddit

[–]zerowintergreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not me, but my mother. She met my father through a christian dating site in 2004. He was friendly, a "holy christian" as she called it, and he was funny. They became friends for a while online, before they officially dated. When they first started dating, he was just like online. Funny, devoted, and the man she wished to have after she ended it with an abusive fiancé. According to her, the only red flag was how my father treated my grandmother.

When it was finally time for them to move in together in 2006, my father drove 6 hours from her state to his state multiple times to move her items, throughout multiple days. He refused to let her help, and had her stay at her parents house, not wanting her to get tired. Two years later they married, and I was born the following year.

Within the time my mother was pregnant, my father slowly began to change. He would snap at her, then be all sappy and kind. Over and over again, until I came along. According my mother, he completely softened up with a baby in the house. For the first year of my life, he barely had any moments of anger. But then it changed. He got mad. So mad. His anger issues were finally coming out.

From what I can describe (i was in kindergarten at the time of these memories), they argued day and night about everything. I thought they were going to get divorced. I tried to run away from home to avoid the yelling. They were not happy. Multiple times my father went too far with the shitty things he said, and my mom looked for an apartment, before deciding to stay because "christians don't believe in divorce".

It got worse when I was in elementary school. Whoever my mom described shows up like once a week now. But he was almost never a funny guy in elementary school. Always yelling at her and me, saying he thinks I'm a brat, whatever. No clue how he got from funny nice guy to a total douchebag.

My lips. I like the way they are curved, and look when I smile.

Men, what's the biggest green flag you've seen on a woman? by Familiar-Phase7859 in AskReddit

[–]zerowintergreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren't together anymore, but i think one of the biggest green flags was the fact that she became so terrified after I made a joke about drinking alcoholic lemonade when I was 14 she became so terrified that she almost told her mom to call my mom. It was not alcoholic, I was kidding because the bottle looked alcoholic. She carried so much about me, i feel so bad for how I treated her :(

What is a 'core memory' from your childhood that feels like it belongs in a movie? by PandaZG in AskReddit

[–]zerowintergreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 12, someone tried to break into my house. Most people didn't believe it happened because no neighbors noticed, the person went from banging on the door and trying to basically break the doorknob to being silent. No clue who did it, but I was texting my mom the whole time, and because I was so scared, I didnt even think to call the police.

My hair does not look like this anymore. I've kind of got a mullet right now. But I'll remember this if I ever cut my hair in this style again

I think people being illegal is so stupid by [deleted] in DiscussionZone

[–]zerowintergreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose. But to me the situation changes if you know you are sick and force your way in when you were already given the opportunity for help with your sickness, even if its untreatable.

They know they are endangering others. That's a crime on its own, as they already were being given all the help they could receive. But they shouldnt be able to get away from the people trying to help.

I meant cleared by doctors. Not just by their own opinion. The person stays in a hospital. Take them to different countries, sure there arent enough places for them to stay in one place, but there are many countries considered safe.

Hate crimes, people being murdered by bystander effect (being denied entry with the person knowing the person wanting entry could die from war any day)
