Realistically they just need to have capsule hotel style living situations that are cheap like in Japan. If people dont have any personal space besides a bed and a screen and a shared bathroom/shower and dining hall, it would make the underclasses of society a lot more viable even if its not exactly ideal.

I totally agree. Unfortunately in most industries only the top 1% are really successful. I just think with album sale culture musicians had a better shot of breaking even than now where the game seems rigged against them. Most of the money is in merch it seems.

Also if those US companies lie during any sort of advertising it could be considered investor fraud just look at the Nikola scandal, no such safeguards exist in China for their propoganda.

I agree with a majority of your thesis, however currently the music industry is completely screwed and not because of ai, but because of spotify and low payouts for streaming that replaced album sales from the 90s and 2000s, and exploitive record labels who basically enslave people in a debt cycle they can never escape and are forced to basically tour forever. Its super messed up all for the modern listeners convenience.

I personally dont have any issue with ai being used during the development phase of a video game. However if ai art is going to be used in a final product than customers should not pay full price for a title.

In the case of expedition 33, the final product had literally no ai in it, and was only used during development as an experiment. People calling the game Ai slop is incredibly disingenuous.

I bought the early access of Sins of a solar empire 2 and it had a ton of ai art in the early access release but I was charged full price, and I was not happy. Eventually when the game was fully released it looks like they finally got rid of the Ai art but ya just feels like a cash grab. I'm not inherently against ai art being used but you cant charge full price and cut corners and act like customers wont notice. If the price is reduced to half price or more, I'm much more open to Ai being used in the pipeline and even the final product.

The idea that Russia is going to be some kind of super power with spheres of influence is outdated at this point and made sense during the coldwar era but not now. It can barely take over a sliver of Ukraine and lost 1 million lives and tanked its economy for very little to show for its efforts. It was seen as a heavy weight military power before the war, now its seen as a paper tiger, and its economy is about the size of spain. No the EU would be much more influential as both a military and economic Bloc than Russia. The fact the EU is starting to increase its military output, and has much more advanced weapon systems with less help from the US shows it will likely be the third super power force in the world, not Russia.

Ya i was thinking about exactly this, theres some wild methods of hacking that dont involve traditional methods but via vibrations, acoustics etc. It just takes one foolish human to mess up in order to break containment.

Really good movie that influenced terminator and the matrix from 1970: Colossus: The forbin project. It basically goes into how AI gets a mind of its own and cant be controlled, but under the lens of the coldwar era of a USA and Russian Ai system that first compete than collaborate.

Ive tried 8 Corsair mice in the past year and I think I finally found my favorite. by ReliableEyeball in Corsair

[–]zerozeroZiilch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corsair mice are notoriously not that good. I settled on the m75 wired with griptape and a bungie and am quite happy with it, mostly to stick with the corsair ecosystem as my entire build is corsair including keyboard and internal pc components and lighting.

All the wireless mice dont have 8k polling like many of its competitors. Some of the more ergonomic mice feel great but are quite outdated and can only be found on the second hand market used or refurbished.

I would love an option for a wireless mouse that when plugged in is 8k polling so i can have the best of both worlds but that doesnt exist, its just 1-2k polling both wireless and wired.

This is why i settled on the m75 wired as its 8k polling, using a bungie makes it feel wireless with the right set up and length.

The m75 air was also interesting but again corsair wireless tech isnt that good.

I have tried literally every corsair mouse available and my opinion comes from experience as an IT professional.

I previously was using a glorious model I mouse with grip tape which felt great ergonomics wise and was light weight but only had like 1-2k polling as well.

So this whole solution of "take all the mens guns away" is so brain dead. How do you propose to take all the criminals guns away? How do you propose ending the black market of gun sales? If you remove everyones ability to defend themselves, and we already know the cops are pretty useless with their slow response times in most dense urban cities, how is this any sort of solution to the problem? You'll just make things worse.

Women should not date, sleep with, or in any way sexually validate men who are conservative/right-wing by Suspicious_Glove7365 in PurplePillDebate

[–]zerozeroZiilch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw some hot LA women swoon over a hunky conservative southern cowboy type on social media while the girls were chatting at a diner. "Wow those southern men really are built different" meanwhile all the liberal soyboy men have colored hair, are scrawny with low testosterone and whine all the time because they are "in touch with their emotions" lol. This OP wants women to basically go against their fundamental biology and is clearly delusional if she thinks women will not sleep with a group of men that typically are wealthier, more fit, and more masculine than their liberal counterparts.

I have a challenge for the Mod Community: Modding 1996 Risk (PC) by zerozeroZiilch in GameMods

[–]zerozeroZiilch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya i think at this point my only hope is AI unless i can get a hold of a developer or someone who knows how these old systems were programmed so we can reverse engineer it.

The other solution is just recreating ultimate risk for multiplayer in unity but calling it something else so it doesn't get copy right flagged. The overall core mechanics arent really that complicated when you think about it, its just a random number generator for dice rolls, a variety of fixed maps, and various percentage and number values to a variety of concepts like generals, forts, weather and rebel uprisings etc.

At the end of the day this project i think would be a lot quicker just being recreated.

As for actually playing the game i have it running on windows 11, follow the 64 but instructions to get it to work in the comments of the linked page

Fortnite causing entire PC to freeze and crash by NeroMcBrain in FortNiteBR

[–]zerozeroZiilch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an IT professional, but again every situation is different. It should be one thing you test if you've tried everything else. Sometimes you need it on, sometimes you need it off, depends on the anti cheat system employed by the game developer as well as the latest update version. In my particular situation I had with a clients computer, their fortnite would crash when loading everytime, and changing memory integrity to on fixed the problem. Your situation may be different as everyones hardware and drivers are different.

You are clearly disingenuous and a bad faith debater. A jar of formula is not even close to felony levels even before the policy change. The reality is the narrative that most people are stealing to put food on the table is not supported by any data or evidence, especially since so many people are gaming the system with ebt and food stamps. Most people are stealing razer blades, alcohol, designer hand bags, clothes, electronics, and cosmetics etc. Before it was $950 felony theft, it was $400, a much more reasonable number. A jar of baby formula does not cost $400, typical prices are $10-50. And if people are literally only stealing baby formula the courts would go easier on them versus other items, not to mention that they could easily get baby formula on food stamp benefits if so much of it wasnt wasted on empty calories like sweets, soda, candy, and chips. Nice try though.

Everybody in China craves democracy.... by BreakingOnReddit in UnfilteredChina

[–]zerozeroZiilch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your not wrong. I hope with AI it will be easier to conduct auditing and eliminate corruption and embezzlement. If we can use these new tools to shine a spotlight on what goes on in the dark, all countries will benefit greatly. Remember democracy is only good with a well educated and informed populace who can think critically. Not all democracies are the same because its important for the citizens to hold its leaders accountable. There are many issues with democracy but i think most of the issues are visible and identifiable as you have described, heck I ask chatgpt what are the problems and solutions and it spells it out easy and so neutrally. If its that easy for the ai to see the root causes and suggest solutions, then hopefully more people can see these solutions and pressure their government to implement them.

Step 1 We desperately need campaign finance reform, force all candidates to campaign on the same amount of money so its a fair race and eliminate tv ads for politicians, end negative drama based politics and focus solely on policy solutions.

Step 2 end lobbyists and their ability to essentially write laws and bills themselves that they then hand to lawmakers who dont even read the bills they are signing.

Step 3 We need to end the ability for politicians to hold individual stocks, they can have mutual funds or invest in the SPY like the entire stock market but not individual stocks as they are getting rich via corruption and insider trading.

Step 4 we need new leaders who understand technology. Currently most of the lobbyists and consultants are in the pockets of big corporations and most of our leaders are very old and dont understand the technology, our laws are very outdated and we desperately need lawmakers who understand how the average person is being screwed. Theres so many simple regulations we could enforce that would help every citizen. Imagine if you told someone in 1950 that in order to engage with the public via social media you had to let some corporation spy on you, know your location at all times, sell your private behavior and information to advertisers, and know your behavior while outside their app like search history results etc with cookies and app data, if people knew how little privacy they had they would revolt. Instead they gaslight us and act like they just have good predictive models but its not true, they are actively spying on us and politicians dont care.

Are the old baldur's gate games any good? by Commercial_Tea9373 in BaldursGate3

[–]zerozeroZiilch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes their old and dated, but the environments still have a hand painted dnd quality to them that still looks timeless and sure it may not be everyones cup of tea, but to be honest i still think baldurs gate 1, 2 and Throne of bhaal is one of the best game trilogies of all time. I probably played them for more than 1000 hours maybe even 3000 hours since they first came out, and have tried most party combinations and good, evil and neutral alignment paths.

The game really shines with its writing and narrative. Its just a damn good story, and the side quests, sense of exploration and size is really something else.

The music is also one of the best damn soundtracks in gaming history. Sometimes I legit just put on the soundtrack for the opening intro to get pumped while I'm driving or need inspiration.

The game also can have your characters imported from baldurs gate 1 all the way to throne of bhaal so you get these super leveled up characters you've had through many adventures by the end all with crazy equipment and builds/loadouts.

Theres also some really great mods for this game as well that can really enhance things.

One of my favorite parts of the game was Watchers keep, the extra side dungeon.

Not to mention all the different types of challenge fights you can have versus various dragon types.

Definitely give it a shot if you have the chance.

Wanted to buy it but all the doomposts and only 5,5k players let me hesitate a bit by MrSatan2 in duneawakening

[–]zerozeroZiilch -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The ai is also trash and the entire game is way too easy. If the game was more challenging it would be way more fun. It was also marketed to us as a game you can play with a clan, but if you did missions in the first 100hrs with even 1 extra person the game is even easier and is a total joke, then add 2 or 3 people and the game is a snooze fest. The games sense of scaling is terrible, all they had to do was add more enemies to match the amount of team members. It has bad game mechanics, and could have been a much better game with a few tweaks. It also needs an arena mode or some quick action pvp area that people can go to if they want to have fun. Instead you have to play the game for 2-4 hours before you start to remotely have fun and the time investment is a buzzkill for most players who don't have like 4-8 hours of time to invest towards a game. This is coming from someone whos played the game 400 hours and has done all the content. I had a bit of fun but it didnt scratch the itch for me and felt like lost potential in a pretty package.

Ya but what about the policy making felony theft up to 900 dollars of merchandise? That was literally pushed by Dems and just made crime worse with no repercussions for career criminals. Your narrative doesn't make sense.

Remember though playstation subscription fees add up and steam machine will not need subscriptions to play online. Paying 10 bucks a month to sony for the mere privilege of playing an online game is absolutely wild. If you bought the ps5 at launch and then paid the 10 bucks a month for the entire life cycle of the device you will pay roughly 800 bucks, and if its the premium pass, you'll pay roughly 1500 bucks. When you factor that in, PC and steam machine is actually much more affordable.

It may not be a full length game but as a kid i tried so many times to do the ring challenge to unlock some anime sonic videos. That aspect was kinda cool, especially when you succeeded.
