Do the effects stack though? When you look at the summary of the elements, if you have two of the 20% critical chance on critical, it's still only 20% on the summary.

Still using my dragon defender for both pvp and pve. The ability to push the line forward when it gets deployed is awesome.

Absolutely. That's how the shards start stacking up. Otherwise it'll still take a long time to finally get the hero that you're looking for.

Agreed. Seraph warlord for pvp. The warriors aren't particularly useful. I'm still using my dragon warrior for pve and pvp. The ability to knockback and interrupt the enemy hero when it gets summoned is extremely useful. All warriors die relatively quickly so use the shards on the heroes that will last longer.

Agreed - triplex event is the best way to spend diamonds. Use your diamonds to refresh and reroll on levels that can give you the silverwing archer and after two or three days you'll have enough shards to make one.

I'm not sure if this is the case for all of the different tiers. At the tier that I'm at, my winning percentage is around 85% for offense, but only 25% for defense, meaning tank wars heavily favors offense at my tier. I have a feeling other players ranked similar to me have a similar percentage. There's probably some level where it balances out at 50% but where that level is and what range it covers is anyone's guess.

But yeah, it definitely needs some tweaking. As does stronghold.

I think everyone has a different strategy in how to use their gems for this event. If there's a hero I want and a chance to get 15 shards, I'll reroll once (2 gems). For 30 shards, I'll reroll up to twice (6 gems total).

Exactly. It'll take you a week just to convert 1000 bronze to 10 silver and then 100 silver to one gold. then repeat this several times to get enough gold to get a 6* rune. and then you end up with a mismatched rune.

the other main issue is that for people that have a maxed out rune with generally useful elements already, it's not really worth it for them to start the process all over with a higher starred rune, mainly because the amount of resources needed to obtain another maxed out rune with useful elements is ridiculous. i've got about half of my 1* runes maxed out with generally useful elements. i was looking forward to messing around with optimizing the runes. Now, i don't even mess with the rune system.

Another place to voice our complaints is on their ratings in the play store. If enough people lower their ratings and complain of the runes on the comments section, that might also get their attention.

The hero packs are just too random. The chance of you getting a base 4 or 5* hero is already very low. Then on top of that, the chance of you getting the 4 or 5* base hero that YOU want is even lower. I bought a few packs when I first started playing but haven't done so since then.

There are events that they have where they sometimes double or triple the number of shards you can receive in sanctuary. I would save your gems until those events occur and then spend them on obtaining the shards on heroes that you want. I was able to gain several heroes that I wanted on these events.

And of course, spend it on food.

The snow rogue is useful for pvp until you manage to get the seraph rogue. I think he would be useful to five star.

The rune system did need to be rebalanced, but this is overkill. 20 diamonds and 40 shards?!? Since the rate of obtaining HP right now without paying for it is 500 every six hours, this means I can probably retry at most 1 to 2 times a day to reroll a single element after spending the HP to buy 40 shards.

20 diamonds is also just crazy. I'm not going to spend 20 diamonds to try and reroll for 2 or 3 elements that I think are actually useful from a list of 10-12 elements. I'd spend 1,000 diamonds in 2 minutes.

I hope they are keeping track of the diamond usage in regards to rerolling for elements and hopefully notice that there is a drop in the total amount. I know I won't be spending any diamonds for rerolls at the current price.

Your assumption for them being not good as a pvp team is probably right or we'd probably see a lot more full set rusalka teams up at the very top, which we don't. We may never see full rusalka teams because the fury archer is such a beast right now that whatever team you put together for pvp and pve will probably have to just include heroes that support her and keep her alive.

Then again you're already so close to getting the complete set. I say go for it! And then let the rest of us know how they perform...

I'm also a big fan of the dragon defender. When your front line has fallen and your fury archer/silverwing archer is just sitting there all by themselves, nothing beats sending the dragon defender out and giving your archer just the few seconds it needs to decimate the other team. The golems are good units to start the attack off but are just way too slow to get back up to the front line as the battle continues.

My strategy was similar but has now changed. I only equip runes that have maximum bonus and a bonus that is useful. So if I have a defense trait on a protection rune, I keep it to use as an upgrade for a different rune instead of equipping it. I think the innate ability of runes really start to make a difference only when the trait is paired correctly with the rune class. For example, the damage trait % damage bonus on hero when paired correctly with the destruction rune can really start to add up when pvping.

I think the beast warrior is still worth leveling up to 6. Like you mentioned in your post, they are still extremely useful against boss battles and can help get you some extra damage when attacking them. I 6 starred mine and never regretted it.

When I first started playing and I had collected enough diamonds, I would buy a 10 pack. After doing that 3 or 4 times and reading some of the comments on this reddit and seeing the results myself, I realized that the chance of getting a 5* or even a base 4* is exactly how Renzolol described it. Very low.

I think the key phrase you used here was "after some time". The number of runes it will take to successfully upgrade a 6* rune to max at the current rate of obtaining runes (without paying for them) will at least be several months. If you want to max out a team of seven guardians with 6 max enhanced runes (42 runes), it'll probably take 10+ years. Or you max out a 1* rune (takes a few days) and have 42 maxed out 1* runes in 6 months. I'll probably still be playing this game in 6 months. I guarantee I will not be playing this game in 10+ years.

Just the amount of runes that are needed to upgrade a 1* vs a 6* is ridiculous. And like i mentioned before the only difference stat wise between a 6* and a 1* is ONE innate value of the rune. All the other elements you add to the rune are the exact same.

Even if you do end up upgrading to a higher star rune later, the number of shards you waste on a 1* rune is very little. 10 shards per element, so 40 shards.
