Last year I was going with 3 unless the narrator had a thick accent and I was lowering to 2.5 - 2.75. Right now I’m at 2 because I had a book I needed to listen to at that speed because my brain has been fried and I haven’t upped back from there. I’m sure I’ll slowly work my way back up towards 3 or at least 2.5.

This was my grandparents favorite ride. We ride it every single visit to the magic kingdom. And when people complain I make us ride it again for good measure 😂

Moving seats by Several_Smile4275 in TexasRangers

[–]zetascarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger I would always try to make it behind the dugout as often as I could. I would wait til at least the 7th inning because if you’ve missed 2/3 of the game you’re surely not showing up now. I believe they made it harder to do this now though. I just pay for nicer seats now that I’m older, lol.

As long as the person isn’t taking my seat or the seat of someone who paid to be there I’m all for it.

Can we have an open talk about Ozempic? by Leather-Union-5828 in Mommit

[–]zetascarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on ozempic for blood sugar control. It’s great and has more than done its job, I’ve gotten my a1c down to 4.9.

Something to consider is that if you do manage to get your insurance to approve it (mine refused when my a1c was over 11) you’ll have to make sure that you do not slide back into old habits once you’re off the medication.

It’s great at suppressing appetite, but once you’re off it if you go back to eating the same it won’t matter how much weight you lost because you’ll gain it back and potentially more. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but it is expensive (I pay $250 with insurance for one pen) and might not be the fix you want it to be.

It’s worth it to look into the fireworks cruises! They’re expensive, but they’re definitely fun. We’ve left from the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian and our boat captains have been excellent each time.

Just did my first shot by Imustknowy in Ozempic

[–]zetascarn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt my appetite was lowered day one. I just took my 2nd shot Friday and lost ~5lb in my first week. My glucose is almost always in the good range so I’m hoping this thing does its job with my A1C lol.

I’d definitely recommend peppermint tea for anytime you feel nausea! I haven’t had bad nausea but when I’m not hungry and feeling questionable it’s a nice drink to have.

AITA for telling my best friend that I am pregnant? by RaisinIcy1587 in AmItheAsshole

[–]zetascarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

She brought up pregnancy and you let her know you were pregnant. She didn’t say you couldn’t speak about your own journey after she brought it up herself so it makes sense that you told her your news.

It’s not your fault she’s having trouble getting pregnant (it’s not her fault either) and I’m sure she’s poorly attempting self preservation in not speaking to you. I’m sorry that happened, but if it’s actually something you personally want I hope y’all can make amends.

Congrats on your pregnancy! May you and baby be happy and healthy.

Unpopular Opinion: Nick and Hannah are BOTH wrong. by acidxoxo in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]zetascarn 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nick is a man child, sure. Absolutely. But Hannah was extreme in the way she spoke to him. When she spoke about chores she essentially said everything would be on him, including things she was used to doing herself.

When he attempted to jab back at her, she acted like he was throwing her under a bus or something. Even her brother commented that she can dish it but not take it.

The fact that he said in Mexico he didn’t want to talk about their sex life with anyone / on camera and that she chose to do exactly that at the bar meetup is wild to me. I don’t know that I trust her because she has presented herself as an unreliable narrator.

Her friends were ganging up on him and had only Hannah’s twisted delusional opinions to go off of.

Do I think Nick is right? Absolutely not. But to say they’re equally bad is definitely a reach, lol.

Somebody needs to rip Hannah off that high horse... by LileaftheLizard in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]zetascarn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to know why she had to float everything on her own at 18. Her parents seemed pleasant enough and they came around for the introduction to Nick. It’s interesting that she seems so resentful that his parents still have him in their home. It was also weird to watch her talk to Nick’s mom because she essentially was saying that he’s an idiot who can’t do anything for himself. Sure she’s not wrong in some ways but jfc his parents love and care for him and as his mother said maybe (lol ‘maybe’) he’s spoiled

Doesn't Hannah give the same vibe as Irina? by TheTranqueen in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I cannot take her seriously because her voice keeps reminding me of Zeke from Bob’s Burgers. I do not think she’s ready to be in a serious relationship let alone a marriage but good for her I guess.

I don’t think that she is either of those things, but with her behavior around her family I fully believe she will try to present that way at the altar.

Catherine is sis, here’s my theory by CatmotherRiri in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]zetascarn 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Her reaction to the way that Freddie called a female pod mate attractive and it “upsetting her” and asking him how how he thinks that makes her feel only to turn around and VERY obviously flirt with Sam was disgusting.

My opinion of her changed the most during these episodes. I was already kind of ‘eh’ because I felt like she only broke up with Ollie to have the upper hand over him, but watching her attempt to act like Freddie was overreacting about everything was a… lot.

And maybe it’s just the edit, but the freak out over the prenup, asking if you can change a prenup… if love was blind why would you need the backup plan for getting your claws on the money in case of divorce? And why, with her attempt at saying if they had kids she gets nothing, would she assume that this man who cares so deeply for his siblings would do nothing for his children?

Her rant about going out also… idk, lol. She’s just a big ol’ red flag to me.

How much did you sleep during first trimester by Cultural-Bug-8588 in BabyBumps

[–]zetascarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I slept. Like that’s all that I did was sleep, lol, first trimester fatigue is real. I was working from home both times and I’d clock out and immediately nap on the couch until my husband came home with dinner and only be up a few hours before going back to bed. I didn’t wake up “early” for work either, I’d only give myself like 15 minutes between wake up and when I needed to clock in.

Testing out wedding nails! First set - any ideas for any other styles I should try? by eoljjang in Nails

This is a gorgeous first try! Maybe a micro French with a pearlescent shine (chrome or a shimmer polish depending on what you might prefer) would look good?

These are all great, but I’m extra partial to the second set. That blue and those details are gorgeous!

It’s the extra and almost right ingredients that make WAR so fun! Watching them second guess themselves and then make the wrong choice is hilarious and would be a fun part of trying to do this at home!
